Lucas Transmission Stop Slip or no?
I've never worked on transmission issues before and have only surface knowledge so I'm not sure what is reality when I'm getting two polar opposite bits of advice from those fat now knowledgeable about cars than I am
For background, we have a 2015 Traverse and got a new camper last year (within weight limits and I use the camper button every time). I've noticed when I need to speed up (going up hill or whatnot), it shudders a bit before shifting down to get more torque.
I understand that's a transmission issue, but I was given one suggestion of Lucas Transmission Stop Slip to fix that and one that said I shouldn't use it as the Stop Slip will shorten the life of my transmission. I'm guessing the truth is somewhere between those... So what is the reality of Stop Slip?
