hot take: i would actually like jax if only gooseworx didn't go the "poor misunderstood baby he's just acting out bc he's sad" route with his character.
i liked jax during the pilot, but as the show went on and it was made increasingly clear that i'm meant to sympathize with him, it slowly turned into a fervent dislike. i don't know if anyone else is in the same boat as me but i miss when asshole characters were allowed to just be bad people without having some tragic backstory as a justification for doing so. fictional characters don't exist to be moral guides, they exist to help tell an interesting story. can we bring back villains being villains for the sake of being villains, please?
