I’m scared of Levaquin

F24, I have had ureaplasma for at least 2 years now (possibly longer) but was not tested for it until April of this year due to nobody believing that its a real STI. My doctor prescribed 7 days of doxycycline and that did not work so I was retested in May and prescribed azithromycin, the standard 2 pills for one day + 1 pill for the next three days. I’m still in burning agony and just retested today but she will prescribe me levofloxacin/levaquin if this test comes back positive which I expect it to because of the pain i’m in. I’m really scared about the possible permanent side effects and wondering if I should do something different? I asked about minocycline and she said that probably wouldn’t work on me because the doxycycline didnt work and I also have an Evvy test that says it detected tetracycline resistance. She prescribed me vaginal estrogen and referred me to a pelvic floor physical therapist. I am going to ask about an HSG next appointment just because given that my infection has lasted so long im worried about my fertility now. I don’t seem to have any PID symptoms though, but lately I’m feeling light period-like cramps after orgasms and wondering if that has to do with it.

TLDR any advice at all is appreciated but I’m specifically worried about side effects from levaquin. I’m not even sure it will work on me after already trying doxy and azithromycin

I also have 2 weeks worth of doxycycline she prescribed me that I didnt take yet because I asked for azithromycin instead, and I’m wondering if I should take that before the levaquin to help weaken the infection at all. I’m asking reddit cus I honestly don’t feel confident that the doctors in my office care or know anything about ureaplasma.

Too young for blepharoplasty?

Hi all! I’m 24 and I’ve wanted to get rid of my eye bags for as long as I can remember. I’m looking at surgeons now and doing research but so far the youngest age I see people getting this surgery is in their 30s, which is making me wonder if there is a such thing as too young? and I don’t mean from a moral perspective; I’m old enough to make my own decision lol, but I want to be sure i’m 1000% informed. I’d appreciate any advice regarding this question as well as anything else I should be researching during the process of choosing a surgeon / pre-surgery info.

i’ve had one consultation and when i asked that doctor if there are any differences between myself and the average aged patient he essentially said no “because i already have the undereyes of an old person and thats why im in his chair.”
