Where's the best place to buy a tested film camera & 35mm film? 📸

Hey everyone! I'm looking to buy a reliable, second-hand 35mm film camera, an slr, and pick up some film while I'm here.

I know the big chains like Bic and Yodobashi have film, but I'm looking for spots that have a good selection of serviced/tested vintage cameras.

Would love any recommendations for hidden gems, fair prices, or local shops with decent film stock.

Thanks!

New to Nagoya: Where to go & what to eat? (Plus Ghibli Park advice!)

Hey everyone!

I’m going to be staying near Kanayama for a limited period till September. I’m a huge Studio Ghibli fan, so visiting Ghibli Park is a non-negotiable dream for me while I'm in Aichi!

1.How do I go about booking tickets, and are they available anytime, or do they sell out fast? Any insider tips for getting last-minute spots if dates are full?

  1. Other Must-Visit Places: What are other non-negotiable sights or cool neighborhoods in/around Nagoya?

  2. Must-Try Foods (Nagoya Meshi): Which local dishes are an absolute must, and where’s your personal favorite spot to get them?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Got a ₹2L lump sum for the long term. Where should I put it given my current portfolio?

Hey everyone,

I have a lump sum of ₹2 Lakhs to invest for the long term (7+ years). My risk appetite is low-to-moderate.

Right now, I run a total SIP of ₹6k/month spread across these 5 funds:

  • Nifty Next 50 Index Fund
  • Flexi Cap Fund
  • Mid Cap Fund
  • Hybrid Fund
  • Gold Fund

A few questions I need help with:

  1. How to deploy? Given the current market, should I invest the ₹2L in one go into my existing Flexi Cap / Mid Cap, or park it in a liquid fund and do an STP over 12 months?
  2. Should I explore ETFs? Would it make sense to put this lump sum into an ETF (like a Nifty 50 or a thematic ETF) instead of a mutual fund, or will it just complicate things?
  3. Portfolio Clutter? Is 5 funds for a 6k SIP already over-diversified? Should I consolidate instead of adding a new fund?
  4. Other Options? Are there alternative options outside of mutual funds/ETFs (like corporate bonds or secondary market SGBs) that make sense for this lump sum?

Would love to get your insights on how you'd allocate this. Thanks!
