Care Bears utm did they gender swap Noble heart?

Care Bears utm did they gender swap Noble heart?

This is the first time I really got a good look at the Noble hard horse photos and I just realized he looks like a girl did they arbitrarily gender swap him I’m not gonna be I’m not gonna lie. I’m gonna be a little sad if they did Noble heart horse is one of my favorite dads in media

also I feel like this is one of the worst times for a company to decide to just swap the gender of a beloved character with transgender being such a hot button topic right now we’re gonna have half of people screaming oh my gosh representation yay and the other half screaming they’re indoctrinating our kids and it’s gonna suck the fun out of it

I’m starting to feel like every time a company announces something cool that I’m actually excited for I can’t actually get excited because they turn around to do something like this and I can’t even comprehend why they feel they need to swap the genders on characters what does that actually accomplish? I still remember being a confused kid in the 2000s and trying to figure out why suddenly sunshine was a guy after growing up with girl sunshine. Seriously with anybody else growing up in the 2000s confused when they just switched a bunch of characters genders cause I was.

Feel like everywhere I turned companies be making weird decisions and I’m worried that this won’t go as smoothly nowadays as I did in the 2000s
I’m also disappointed that I’ve waited this long to be able to add my favorite Dad to my collection and I might not even actually get to add him because he is she and buying an older Noble heart is like out of the question like $500 so I guess I’m just gonna cross my fingers and hope that the new one doesn’t look too early and then I can just pretend I mean I already had to Frankenstein myself a true heart because they made her pink instead of multicolored. I’m sure I’ll figure it out.🤷🏻‍♀️

This post is by no means meant to be political or cause arguments. I just don’t know what to do with this information or my feelings about it.

Been thinking a lot about Barbie and their quality of dolls lately

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about Barbie and other doll companies and the increasingly poor quality of there dolls to the point where their collector dolls are now the same quality that their play line dolls were 10-20 years ago and their play lines have evolved into plastic pieces of junk with stuck on clothing and poly hair

A great example of just how bad things have gotten the original versus the new Barbie in the Nutcracker dolls they’re not even on the same level. The original doll was like $20 when it came out and the new one is a whole two dollars more expensive for half the quality. Good news is because us fans complained about how crappy these dolls were finally decided to do a reproduction, the bad news it the reproduction is $60 That’s three times what the original doll was and don’t get me wrong. I understand inflation and all that, but that doesn’t change the fact that the new play line Nutcracker dolls prices are insane for what they are.

And it just got me thinking do you think part of the reason the play line dolls quality keeps going down is in order to convince collectors that the inflated prices they’re paying for what should’ve been play line dolls is acceptable and I’m not talking about special case reproductions like this Barbie in the Nutcracker $60 is actually pretty decent price for collectors doll but when the majority of what Mattel is selling as collectors dolls is 75-100+ dollars the price tag doesn’t match the quality of the dolls anymore

And frankly, I think Mattel has over estimated just how many collectors they have who can shell out $75-$100+ every time they drop a new doll I personally have only bought one Mattel creations, doll and I waited for her to go on sale, we live in an economy where majority of people can barely afford to buy groceries and pay rent what Mattel is doing isn’t sustainable and sooner or later it’s gonna actually kill Barbie and that is really depressing to think about.

especially knowing that they’re capable of better quality we have proof because at the same time they’re doing this to Barbie. They’re also responsible from Monster High and their dolls are actually really cool at the moment, and that’s coming from somebody who didn’t like Monster High growing up, but I have to admit they’re the better dolls right now to the point that I actually bought a Laguna and a jinafire

And I’ve heard people make the argument that kids aren’t buying toys anymore because We just sit them down with devices and call it good but frankly, I think part of the problem is the toys aren’t worth buying anymore and they don’t encourage imaginative play anymore. They’re just chunks of plastic. I personally wouldn’t want to buy my kids most modern Barbie dolls especially when I can go to a used shop or eBay and get dolls from the 80-2000s for the same prices and even used there still better quality. And look Barbie has made stuck on clothing work before the Fairytopia line is evidence of this, but if you compare those dolls to modern mermaids and fairies from Barbie, you can see the difference in quality and there’s no whimsy anymore

And I feel like anytime they release something that is cool. It turns into the midge rare find/playset odile fiasco like why the hell are we making Millie variants of dolls that we know or are anticipating will sell well they’re literally wasting money on producing Millies
The market is oversaturated with them and don’t there’s always been a face mode. That is the Barbie face mold, but in the past, they’ve always had variation the superstar mold and the CEO molds were used for a very long time, but they had a variation they they did different eye makeup different lipsticks. They switched up the face printing, but Millie has had literally the exact same face print for the majority of her run there have been a few examples of different prints being used on the Millie mold, but those are few and far between I swear it almost feels like somebody at Mattel is trying to kill Barbie

All of the poor decisions they’ve made recently really just shows how out of touch and greedy Mattel is at this point

Honestly, at this point, I’m just praying for some sort of major shake up for most toy companies because they seem to think cutting corners raising prices and implementing AI is going to save them and it’s not

Is anybody else is upset about this as I am?

I just need to rant for a minute 😡I am so mad at Disney right now, and I am so tired of the gatekeeping and I’m so tired of Disney being increasingly inaccessible to middle and lower class people the prices are going up the qualities going down all of the Disney Store dolls have poly hair and the Mattel ones aren’t much better. Most of them have stuck on clothing and to get dolls that even have half the quality of the dolls I grew up within the 2000s. It’s at a minimum twice the price now and anything even remotely cool is gate kept by unreasonable prices. who just has a $300 to drop on dolls in this economy heaven’s sakes, they added Esmeralda to the play line dolls like four years ago and we’re still getting treated like this and I’ve seen the kind of quality they’ve been turning out on their $170 dolls and they’re not worth that price so I know these ones aren’t gonna be and I’m so mad this is the first time they’ve released a Milo do since the original dolls and only the second time they’ve released kida I am just so frustrated and upset right now. I have been waiting and praying and wanting this so bad and I know I cannot afford this.😭😭 I just need to know that I’m not the only one this upset about something that silly.
PS: if this had come out to $50 apiece instead of $150, I probably would’ve been able to buy it and I’m so sad that I know I can’t

Question 10% benzoyl peroxide for removing stains from dolls and my little pony’s

So I know some people swear by using 10% benzyl peroxide for removing stains on dolls, and I know a lot of people in My Little Pony community used to, but now tell you, don’t do that it can permanently bleach your pony because it penetrate too deep, but I found this article where this woman swears by completely removing the cream by using a baking soda paste when you clean them off and I’m curious what you guys’s thoughts are do you think it actually helps or do you think it’s just an unnecessary step?

Need advice about the condition of a toy I bought

I bought this pony and I understood that she was in used condition and she had some pink spots. However, when she arrived today, I realize she was in rougher condition. Then I had thought I looked at the photos. I read the description and at no point was it really photographed or disclosed that this pony had a bunch of animal bite marks on her ears and front left hoof and I feel like the stain is worse in person than photographed and the photo of the left-hand side of the pony is angled funny which means you can’t really see the bite marks and if you don’t know, it’s there you’re not gonna realize the eye as much but at least the eye is something I can easily fix. I Have a couple ideas for things I could try to shrink that bite mark holes but I don’t know for sure, I don’t necessarily want to return her, but if I had realized she was in his rapid condition as she is, I wouldn’t have paid quite this much for her. I feel like I should reach out to the seller and say something, but I’m not sure what, I’m not even entirely sure what my end goal here is beyond letting them know that it’s definitely not gonna be a five star review I thought about maybe asking for a partial refund but I don’t even know if Mercari lets you do that I have on Mercari for several years now and this is only the second time I have had something arrived that I have not been entirely happy with I guess I’m just looking for advice what do you guys think I should do? Should I just eat the cost write a review and call it a day? Or Should I say something to them?

I am an adult collector who restores toys so I don’t mind getting used to toys that are in rough condition, but I would prefer if it was fully disclosed what condition it’s in

I included the sellers original photos and description, plus my photos of what she would like in person at the end

Edit, I have several people in the comments, wanting me to know that the pink stains might be pony cancer. I am fully aware of that. I am also aware that there are steps that can be taken to kill the mold, so it doesn’t spread to other vinyl, even if I can’t remove the stains left by the mold
