Did it backfire?

I know. Spells don't backfire. At least this is what everyone says around here. But I have very good reasons to disagree and I may actually need help.

Three days ago, I did a hex/sour jar. I won't elaborate, but its purpose was pain, anger and despair, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

However, since then, I feel like I am suffering from these effects instead of the target. The day after the spell (Wednesday), I was feeling very disappointed and sad for no apparent reason. Yesterday (Thursday), my body started hurting out of nowhere (more specifically the center of my upper back) and I can't move properly. Later that day, I had a call from my sibling telling me our mom had a f*cking stroke! THANK GOD she's actually fine, at the hospital of course, but fine for now. When I spoke with her, she actually told me that the day before she was feeling so sad (coincidence?) after a conversation she had with my sibling. We believe this is what triggered the stroke, but anyway.

It's almost 05:00 in the morning as I am writing this and about an hour ago, I had a small crisis out of anger because the neighbor upstairs (yes, that b*tch who's the target of my hex jar) was banging on every f*cking thing she could in her apartment. She was so f*cking loud that I snapped and started banging my doors so f*cking hard that I scared my poor husband, who panicked and now can't sleep again. I feel horrible for what I did to him, but I just couldn't help it! I am actually still shaking!

As you can see, all of this is very good evidence that the spell backfired. But it doesn't matter whether we agree on that or not. What matters is: What now?

PS: I just realised I didn't clean the surface after the spell. There are still a few things left on the table. Maybe I should have been more thorough and cleaned everything as soon as I finished the spell. I'll do that first thing in the morning and burn some sage.

Banishing Oil instead of Banishing Spell?

I had an idea which I'd love to share and ask for opinions.

As some may already know from my previous posts, I'm kind of desperate to get rid of my shitty neighbors and was planning to do a banishing spell tonight. BUT...

I had another idea instead. What if I make a banishing oil? One with the intention of banishing unwanted people (not spirits or energies). I could actually use it on anyone, not just my neighbors.

This will take weeks, but I was thinking, if I start today (Saturday, waning moon, hour of Saturn) and leave it for the whole lunar cycle, it would also be ready next month during the waning moon. And I don't mind waiting.

Then I could use it in spells or on its own. I was thinking of rubbing a bit of it in the elevator, on their floor button (with the intention to affect only them, not the other neighbors living on that floor) or even rubbing some on their postbox. I thought of that as an alternative to hotfoot powder, as this would require me to actually go outside their door to throw it, which I find risky. But the elevator? Everyone goes there, including me! And I would be alone while rubbing the oil on the button, so nobody would ever know!

How do you find this idea? Does it make sense? I would also love to know what kind of oil would be best as a carrier.

Thank you so much!

Making a Hex Jar

Hello everyone. I apologize in advance for this post, as it's going to be long. I am finally preparing by gathering ingredients and thinking through the process of making a hex jar. I'd like to talk about it.

For context, I've made a hex jar before, but apparently it didn't work, or at least I have no idea if it did. The thing is, I put more than one name in it, which according to some people is a mistake. Another thing is that I shook it from time to time, but I believe it affected my household instead, as I opened it once or twice and one of those times I spilled some of the liquid on myself. The period that followed was really tense with my husband and we had a couple of huge fights. Because of that, I decided to empty the jar, throw everything away, and do some cleansing.

Now, in an attempt to avoid my past mistakes and make everything as neat as possible, I've decided to put only one name inside. I'd also like to talk about the ingredients because I'd rather not mix things that might "fight" or "cancel" each other out. That being said, here's the plan:

I don't have one specific purpose for my jar, but I do know the effects I want it to cause: irritation, misfortune, desperation, anger, conflict, and ideally I'd like it to make my neighbors move out or get evicted, or whatever. Anything, as long as they're out of my life. This is how I was thinking of doing it:

  • Rusty nails: I put nine old, bent nails in a small open jar with a bit of water so they can rust. As far as I know, this also happens to be the first step in making War Water, but I'm not sure if I want to go that far this time. This would be for the pain/harm factor. I also don't know why I specifically chose nine nails. It just felt right. If you have any objections or comments about the number, please feel free to enlighten me. It would be highly appreciated!
  • Dead bee: A bee came to my door just to die there. I took it as a "sign" or an "opportunity", so I collected it and decided to save it for my jar. I was thinking it could also represent pain, perhaps in an unexpected way. Should I use it as it is? Should I remove the stinger and use only that? I don't know, but for now I plan to put the whole bee in the jar.
  • Poppy seeds: I have a full bag of poppy seeds, but I'm not sure whether it makes sense to include them. They're usually associated with confusion, which I'm not sure really fits the purpose of this jar.
  • Graveyard dirt: I haven't acquired any yet. I'm thinking about how I could collect some without getting caught. I was also wondering whether it has to come directly from a grave or if I could collect some from the base of a tree inside the cemetery instead. I'm not sure if it fits the rest of the jar either (to me it represents death), but I was thinking of using it as the base of the jar rather than covering the other ingredients or the neighbor's name with it. I'd really appreciate some feedback on that as well.
  • Black pepper: Because why not? This would be for the irritation factor.
  • Cayenne pepper: Again, why not? I suppose this would be for heat or speed factor.
  • Chili pepper: One whole pepper, uncut. Again, for more heat I guess. Should it be dried first?
  • Ginger: I'm not sure about this one either. The idea is to strengthen the spell and add a bit of speed, but does ginger really belong in a hex or would it work against the rest of the jar?
  • Garlic peels: This would be to drive them away, but garlic is also used to drive away "evil". So again, could it end up canceling the hex instead?
  • Something moldy: For decay. Should I be careful about what moldy item I use, or does it not matter?
  • Her name and address as taglocks: I know my neighbors' last name and, of course, their address, but I only know the first name of one of them. I'm not even sure she gave me her real first name (this is just me being suspicious) and her last name isn't her birth name because she took her husband's surname. I wonder how that might affect the jar's potency. I also have her personal phone number. Someone suggested in the comments on one of my previous posts that I could collect some dirt from outside their door or maybe use some of their junk mail. I'm not sure about either of those, but I feel like I need to strengthen the taglock somehow.
  • Small piece of mirror: I was thinking of breaking a mirror (outside my apartment) and using a small piece of it in the jar. Not because it's sharp, but because I see it as an "amplifier". I was considering gluing it to the inside of the lid so it reflects everything inside the jar, thus "doubling" the effects.
  • Sealing it with a black candle: Should I also use a red candle? Black feels just right to me and honestly, I feel like this is the least of my problems.
  • Black cloth: I was also thinking about wrapping the jar in a black cloth to keep it in darkness forever.
  • Day of implementation: Someone suggested in the comments on one of my previous posts that I should wait until the "Black Moon" meaning the day before the New Moon. This confused me a bit because I can't find much information explaining why that particular day is called a Black Moon, since the term is usually associated with other events. That day also happens to be a Tuesday, which works well enough for me. I'd appreciate any thoughts on that as well.

You may have noticed that I'm a bit confused, especially when it comes to herbs. I don't know if all of this is too much, just right, or if those of you with more experience lost a few brain cells while reading it. In any case, I'd really appreciate your feedback.

Thank you for bearing with me!

EDIT 1: I just thought that maybe wrapping the jar in a black cloth would "fight" the mirror, since mirrors need light to reflect, but I don't know.

EDIT 2: I forgot to mention that I don't know what to do after it's done. Should I keep it around and shake it from time to time or should I throw it into the sea/river/lake? Would that also be a "drive them away" move or would it not matter?

Period Blood

Hello everyone. I have a very weird question.

I know that some people use their period blood for prosperity and/or fertility spells and rituals, but I was wondering if there is a way to use it in a baneful way.

For me, period blood is anything but a good thing. I would never use it for prosperity spells, let alone fertility, as it's a symbol of the exact opposite, at least from my point of view. Period blood is blood that was lost because it didn't serve its purpose. My body hurts and I become an emotional wreck when I am on my period. None of this screams "fertility" to me.

That being said, I was wondering if it could be used for baneful/black magic without actually hurting the person it came from, me in this case, since it would still carry my DNA.

Any thoughts? Have you used period blood before? How did it work?

Thank you!

"Recharging" Spell Jars under the Full Moon?

Hello dear people. I have a probably silly question.

Does it make sense to take your spell jars (especially the ones that have gemstones in them) outside under the full moon to "recharge" them, or would this "neutralize" (aka break) the spell?

Thank you!

Full Moon

Hello there. The full moon approaches and I was wondering what kind of baneful spell someone could cast. Is the full moon even the right time to do so?

I've been doing some baneful self made spells, but barely anything has worked, at least to my knowledge.

For the record, I don't believe in any kind of entities. I mention it just in case.

Thank you all!

Prosperity Spells and Anxiety

Hello everyone. I've noticed a pattern that I'd like to share because I find it strange. Every time I cast a prosperity spell (money spell, job spell, prosperity oil, etc.), I get a wave of anxiety, or something else goes horribly wrong and creates a huge mess.

I never thought much about it before. I assumed it just happened and that next time I'd be better prepared, so nothing would go wrong. But no. I just finished making a prosperity jar, and not long after I started, I became anxious.

Now, here I should mention that the anxiety doesn't necessarily come from the spell itself. It could be triggered by something else happening. For instance, noise from my horrible neighbors might scare me and then the anxiety follows and stays. Or I might get stressed because the time for the spell is running out (Jupiter planetary hour ending) or for pretty much any other reason. The interesting part is that none of these things would normally stress me out or cause anxiety during any other type of spell.

Has anyone else had a similar experience with a specific type of spell? How did it affect you and how did you deal with it?

Thank you for your attention!

Black Salt for the First Time

Hello everyone. I'm about to make my very first black salt, and I have a few questions!

First of all, I found a super easy recipe here: https://www.reddit.com/r/witchcraft/comments/13b7bx5/how_to_make_black_salt/

Secondly, I've been reading through relevant posts and comments, and it seems that everyone has their own way of making it.

My question is, can black salt be "all purpose" or does it have to be created for a specific use (for instance, "black salt for protection", "black salt for binding", etc.)?

I also saw some people following the moon cycle while making it, others not, others using different ingredients... What would be the most standard approach? Is this recipe a good base?

Thank you in advance!

What about giving back?

I was watching a video on TikTok where a witch was saying that one of the mistakes she made when she started practicing was only casting spells whenever she wanted to ask for something. She explained how important it is to give back instead of only receiving.

This is where I'm a bit lost. I don't believe in spirits or deities. I practice out of curiosity, just to experiment, but I won't elaborate on that in this post. My question is:

How do I "give back"? To whom? Offerings just feel off, considering that I don't believe any entities exist. And even if they did, why on earth would they want, for instance, a piece of bread or some fruit from me? Would lighting a white candle and sitting quietly for a moment to simply "appreciate life" count? Is anyone else here with similar beliefs (or rather disbeliefs)? How do you approach (or not) this?

Thank you in advance.

What can I use to fill the cracks in my gemstones?

Hello there. I recently bought a few gemstones, but unfortunately they're not in the best condition. All of them have scratches, some have deep cracks, and one of them even has black spots inside it (I was comparing several stones at the same time and accidentally picked the wrong one).

My question is: how can I fill the cracks in these gemstones? I don't feel comfortable using them in this condition, especially if I want to put them in a jar with other ingredients. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Expose Their Lies and Hidden Intentions for All to See

This is the second spell I ever made that I can say actually worked. The purpose is to have someone "expose" themselves so everyone sees their true colours and intentions, as well as prevent them from (successfully) lying during a meeting (be it a family gathering, hanging out with friends, or a court). For me, it was a mediation meeting with a mediator, myself, and the other problematic person. Ideally, do this the night before your meeting.

What you will need:

• Paper
• A blue and black pen or pencil
• One blue candle (the smaller, the better)
• Your protection jar (optional)

What to do:

Cut the paper into pieces big enough to stand on their own. You need as many pieces as there are people involved (except for the person you want to expose). With the blue pen, draw a pair of eyes on each piece and on the back, write the name of the person it represents, along with as much information as you feel is necessary to identify them (for example, for yourself you can write your full name and date of birth and for a lawyer, you can write their full name and profession).

When you're done, place everyone (each piece of paper) in a circle around the candle (not too close, give them some space). Make sure the papers can stand on their own. You can use anything to support them, it doesn't really matter. What matters is that they stand upright and that the eyes are facing the candle. This is where your protection jar comes in. It's completely optional, but if you want an extra layer of protection, you can place your jar behind your piece of paper so that it supports it while protecting you at the same time.

On a smaller piece of paper, using the black pen, write the name of the person you want exposed, along with some identifying information such as their date of birth. If you don't know that, you can write their address or anything else that clearly identifies them. On the back of this paper, write everything you want exposed about them (I personally wrote the words "lies", "bad intentions" and "bad behaviour").

Before you start, make sure you have assigned every piece of paper with eyes to the correct person. Meditate on each of them for a while. It's important that you don't simply have pieces of paper with names lying around, but that each one becomes a true representation of the person it stands for.

Carve a couple of words into the candle. I chose to write "exposure" and "everything is revealed." Place the candle in the middle of the circle and light it. Now it's time to meditate on what you want to achieve.

I have no incantations for you. I tend to speak to my spells and give them directions, so feel free to say anything that matches your situation. When you're ready, burn the paper with the name of the person you want exposed. This is the moment they become exposed. You could also chant or say something such as: "And now everyone sees who you really are. You cannot hide anymore. The masks are dropped."

Let the candle burn completely and leave everything as it is. The idea is that everyone (the eyes you drew) is still witnessing this "moment of truth" that you created while you are actually having the meeting. This is why I suggest doing the spell the night before.

When your meeting is over and you're back home, simply throw everything away (unless there is something you want to reuse, for example, I kept my protection jar of course). The job is done.

At this point, I should say that you can adapt the spell to your own needs and change anything that doesn't make sense to you or add herbs, crystals, and so on if you wish. I followed my instinct and kept it as simple as possible and it worked for me.

Have fun!

IMPORTANT: Make sure the eye drawings don't fall over. Ensure they're properly supported. You need them to watch and if they have fallen down, that won't happen.

I have the perfect revenge idea for noisy neighbors!!

Hello again. Some of you may remember my previous post about “Revenge ideas for asshole neighbors”. Guess what? I found the perfect revenge!

Some of you suggested Bluetooth speakers with noise. Well, content matters. So, a friend had the idea of playing sounds of turtles f*cking!! I CAN'T STOP LAUGHING!!!

I’ll have to set it up and try it to see the results. I’ll keep you updated!

Revenge ideas on asshole neighbors

Hello. Our neighbors have this habit of being loud, especially late at night, and we believe they do it on purpose.

We have tried everything from talking to them to calling the police, but they still won't understand. What's worse, after every time we complain, they tend to become even louder, so we believe they're acting out of revenge or trying to punish us for complaining about them.

We want to teach them a lesson. Any mischievous (but not illegal) ideas? Thank you for reading!
