New ad featuring a new Porsche

The 2018 Porsche 935 is one of the craziest and most underrated modern Porsches: it’s not a road-legal supercar, but a meticulously crafted track-only car, a tribute to the legendary 1978 “Moby Dick.”

Only 77 units have been produced, featuring a 700-hp 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six, a 7-speed PDK transmission, and rear-wheel drive. Drive it to the max in the upcoming 0.7 release of Assetto Corsa EVO.

Here we go again... new UPDATE

So... What the hell are we supposed to do now? Another update, and once again we’re wondering how having cards at a certain level, or having wildcards, is going to put us at a disadvantage.

So the question is: do we need to level up as many cards as possible to the maximum level? Is it better to just level them up to 14 or 15? Does it not matter what we do?

The last few months have been nothing but a series of blows to the face for the few of us who have continued to support the game for so many years (in my case, 10 years).

Have you lost your sense of the terrain since the last update?

To be honest, the ride feel with the 8 Nm CSL DD was brilliant. But since the last update, I’ve noticed that bumps, the terrain and so on feel much less pronounced; gravel and uneven surfaces feel very flat.

Have they changed anything that means we now have to adjust the settings?

Is it just me?

Hey, how's it going?

I’ve been a professional photographer for 20 years and bought the iPhone 17 Pro so that, on certain occasions such as trips and for the occasional family photo, I don’t have to rely on my professional kit.

To be honest, I’m starting to feel both pleased and disappointed with the results, depending on how I use it.

For example, I’ve noticed that when I use the 4x zoom, the minimum focusing distance is quite critical (the shortest distance at which the camera can focus) and the focus isn’t quite sharp enough (when taking portraits). When I use portrait mode, I do get what might be described as a ‘false’ sharpness, which I find looks more appealing.

The thing is, the iPhone camera doesn’t always let you do everything you want, such as quickly selecting settings and locking them in. That’s why I’m trying out different apps that do allow you to do that.

Also, even though I’ve set everything up perfectly to ‘work’, I can’t seem to achieve that split-second response between clicking the shutter and the photo being taken; there’s always a delay of a few milliseconds that I just can’t seem to avoid. To get round this, I sometimes use Live View, but I lose resolution and it seems to affect the quality a bit.

I'm trying out the ProCamera app, which for €16 a year gives me almost everything I need, but there are a couple of things I'm missing:

  1. It doesn't have face tracking (or at least I can't find it).
  2. The button on the iPhone 17 Pro (the new button) supports double-tap functionality, meaning you could use the first tap to lock focus and the full press to take the photo, just as we do with our cameras.

As for the files, to be honest, I don’t really feel like shooting in RAW or DNG at the moment, as I want something a bit more immediate when using my mobile. And although I use Lightroom Mobile with the JPGs, I’m happy enough for now just to apply a few basic adjustments.

Can you recommend any apps that include those two features? Is there anything better than ProCamera?

The game nobody expected, the one nobody was talking about, has suddenly become the best rally simulator of all time.

And it already is in its early access phase.

Version 0.4 is now available, featuring two fantastic cars and new weather conditions.

That said, there are no new sections in this update.

So we can expect the next one in the next two months, which would be around June and July, and would therefore fall within the timeframe for the long-awaited Free Roam. I wonder.

I can’t wait to hear more about the open world; from what I’ve been reading, it seems it won’t be released all at once, but rather we’ll get to explore different areas bit by bit until we’ve covered all the expected kilometres of road.

On the other hand, now that there’s no economy or anything like that, what can we expect from the open world? Will it just be driving, or will they include some sort of mini-games or time trials with traffic?

I suppose that although free-roaming is appealing, I can’t see the point of wasting this open world without any kind of incentive.

I've noticed that when I enter the Nürburgring Tourist Circuit, my frame rate drops from around 90 fps to 50, and sometimes it stays at around 30 fps.

What is the reason for this?

They’ve just made some new announcements: the new base models will have their Nm figures increased via software updates. That’s quite surprising, isn’t it?

They then discussed the older formats, such as CSL DD, which states that the new Full Force technology will also be implemented in the future. What does this mean, or what changes will there be to CSL DD?
