Known Issues:

• On DD1/DD2 the Formula V3 is sometimes not recognized after boot and DD1/DD2 OLED is showing "WARNING Steering Wheel not supported! Please update the Firmware" error message.
  • Restarting the Base gets the wheel recognized again.
• The Display of the Formula V3 has delay on DD1/DD2 and CSL DD/GT DD Pro, resulting in errors refreshing ITM values properly and showing incorrect Tuning Menu texts. When staying on a Tuning Menu settings page the left Setup row also disappears after some time.
• FunkySwitch rotary inputs of the Formula V3 are missed in the Tuning Menu when rotating fast.
• Some message screens of the Formula V3 sometimes get stuck and don't clear until Tuning Menu was manually opened.
• Several ITM features like setting a favorite page or auto-page-switch function is not working yet on the Formula V3.
• The FFB gets lost after hot swapping the wheel while being in game which requires a game restart to get FFB working again on ClubSport DD and Podium DD Bases.
• The Tuning Menu of the Bentley GT3 wheel is not working properly on ClubSport DD and Podium DD Bases.
• The FunkySwitch rotational inputs of the BME are not registered properly on ClubSport DD and Podium DD Bases.
• The telemetry data and LEDs can be delayed which can cause a freeze of the Display data and LEDs.
• The Button LEDs reset to pre-defined default colors when starting the App instead of keeping user-specified LED colors.
• The RevStripe toggle always resets back to ON after restarting the App.
• The loading of profiles is unreliable and sometimes a profile does not get loaded properly.
  • A full rework of the game profile management is planned to fix all kind of profile related issues.
• The communication between the App and the Base is sometimes not working so Tuning Menu changes made in the App are not sent to the Base.
• The Tuning Menu settings are sometimes not saved and restored after a restart of the App.
• The App collects several GB large files of log data when USB pedals are used.
  • Until the issue is fixed with a future App update, customers should delete the log files from time to time manually.
• Some inputs like clutch paddle input or FunkySwitch rotary inputs are slow/delayed in the App.
  • This is just a visual issue of the App, the actual input is not affected.
• When entering a game menu while driving it can happen in some games that the FFB effect doesn't get canceled which results in the wheel turning to one side.
  • This got fixed for the Podium DD some time ago but can still happen on the CSL DD. We have reworked the communication protocols between the base and the motor and are in advanced testing to apply the fix for the CSL DD with an upcoming special driver release.
• Natural friction (NFR) can start to feel weird after some time of driving and can cause shaking / oscillations.
  • In case you experience issues with NFR, we suggest to turn it OFF for now.
  • This got fixed for the Podium DD some time ago but can still happen on the CSL DD. We have reworked the communication protocols between the base and the motor and are in advanced testing to apply the fix for the CSL DD with an upcoming special driver release

Ive been running a CSL DD for a couple years now and I am happy with it. (I know controversial statement) But in the last year or 2 I have been struggling with setting up FFB in the newer sims. Now it may be up to the developer to provide proper settings and the only one that has done a good job is Kunos. (They had wheelbase settings recommended before the launch of EVO and AC Rally has a webpage on how to set it up.) Sims/Games like LMU, EAWRC, Forza, (Rennsport/PMR) etc. all lack guidance and it’s frustrating searching for ffb settings.

Does a shaft extension (official or third party) exist for the original CSL DD (with QR2)

I can only find ones for the more recent fanatec DD bases.

I’ve had my setup for a bit now and have been contemplating upgrading my CSL pedals with load cell to a better set. The options I’ve been considering are:

- Podium pedals
- ClubSport V3’s
- Simnet SP Pros.

Any of them I’d be looking for a 3 pedal setup, with base/heel plate for those that are optional. These will be paired with a DD+ and mostly used for GT7 and ACC on PS5, with some Forza on Xbox mixed in. I love the look and features of the Podiums, but the price concerns me that they are overkill for my needs. I’ve also looked at used V3’s as well, as I’ve seen some fairly reasonable in good shape. Thanks for any advice.

Anyone know what I can do to fix the fanatec shifter kis shifting? I have barely used the shifter and bought it new a couple years ago. Sometimes when shifting it shifts into the wrong gear in the games and fanatec software. Anyone know what i can do to fix it?

Im having problems getting my clubsport dd+ to work at all.. it in compatability mode.. but steering buttons nothing works.. I went to map the buttons on the wheel when I press a button nothing works.. any one know whats going on ? I purchased on steam if that makes a difference

What’s the best way to profiles? I have a csl dd 8nm and it’s great but I only have 5 profiles on my wheel. Cool feature but would be cool to re name it in the pc software. My main question is can I get more profiles? May I change games frequently and it would be nice to be able to swap per car. Forza I’ll play 5 different cars in one session. I usually leave iracing on S1 and change up the tune per car but it’s time consuming every time and I don’t even know what is the best settings for half these cars

I have to be missing something, no way everyone’s doing this every time. Suggestions?

So i have the CSL DD 8nm and i wanna get a wheel thats more akin to drifting and rally. Right now i have the Mclaren GT3. The issue is i need to upgrade to the QR2 and i dont know if my base is the M-type or the C-type. How would i know without taking everything apart since i really cant be bothered right now?

Also any recommendations for wheels for this style of driving would be great 😄

lately i have the problem where my wheel "disconnects" from my base. this happens after using it for a little bit (~1 to 1,5 hours).

first i lose the ability to shift gear or use any other buttons on my steering wheel, then after 10 seconds or so i lose all force feedback.

steering input and pedal continue to work. and if i quickrelease my wheel an connect it again the problem seems solved, only for it to occur again an hour or so later

any idea what could cause this, as i have the set for more then a year now and only recently started to have this issue! thank you in advance!

equipment: CSL DD, formula v2.5 and CSL elite V2 pedals

I played GT7 for a while with a so-so wheel and I’m thinking about getting the Grand Turismo DD+ bundle.

I’m not *really* into racing games in a real big way, so I’m not going to build a full rig.

I want:

- something good but low maintenance
- I hate load cell brakes and prefer a normal road car feel
- not using shifters (been driving electric for too long)
- absolutely do not want to have to set up a PC to do firmware updates, calibrate pedal, etc.
- two pedals, not three
- firmly attached to desk, easy-ish to take off
- pedals on the floor, can’t brace against wall
- not bothered about ultimate realism, don’t need a super powerful motor, will just set it to low anyway (I don’t like having my fingers broken while gaming)
- price not that big a deal (house paid off, gaming is cheaper than a lambo)
- not too much messing around with setup – I want something that works out of the box or is easy to set up

I’ve seen that there are lots of extra pedal sets, but I presume those are all either for rigs, or have load cells; also I wouldn’t want to have to mess around with calibration software.

Do think I’ll find my happy place with the DD+? Or will I just frustrated because Fanatec is too hard core for me?
