My fiancé’s K-1 visa was approved at his interview yesterday!!! I still can’t believe I get to type that.
1.5 years of anxiety, confusing paperwork, and a process that is absolutely NO joke. It doesn’t care about your sacrifices, your feelings, or how long you’ve already waited. A lot of the couples going through this process and doing it “the right way” are in a permanent state of anxiety with their life on pause and separated from their partners, completely unsure of when they can start their lives with their fiancé.
Near the end we had a 6-month delay where we couldn’t visit each other at all, and it happened right after we genuinely thought he’d have his visa within weeks. pure torture.
But we made it. 🥹❤️
