What medical specialties would be the most needed/worked in WW3?

Had a conversation with a pulmonologist the other day about how traumatic COVID was for them. Had a similar conversation with a hospitalist about how every hospital-based IM subspecialist, regardless of subspecialty, became de facto Pulm/ID docs during COVID.

Got me thinking about who would be the most worked/needed in the case of WW3. How does your opinion change based on if WW3 is based on bioweapons, weapons of mass destruction, etc?

Emergency request for an extra tent at the gorge!

Hi! We are a group of 4 girls and our tent that we brought does not have any poles. Does anyone happen to have one extra that they’re bringing? Willing to pay to borrow it!

We need to use this Reddit to look out for each other.

After the murder of one of our peers yesterday, it’s time we change some things. We cannot rely on UW safety alerts or dorm/housing emails to provide timely safety information. Additionally, there are SO many personal accounts of students in Reddit comments yesterday talking about how they have been followed, seen dangerous activity, seen suspicious individuals in student spaces. There is currently no adequate listserv or alert system in which people can warn other students quickly.

I propose that we use this Reddit to warn eachother. A few weeks ago, multiple students saw a man walking around with a knife in Nordheim court. There are other videos of one man harassing/having a mental or drug crisis in multiple places throughout campus and approaching Asian women students. We need active, boots on the ground reporting from our most abundant surveillance resource…which is us.

If you see any suspicious activity, make a post. If you see one of these posts, upvote it to spread awareness. Text your friends if you think they should know.
