How do you decide how much of your paycheck you can actually spend?

I’m curious how people handle this in real life.

For example, suppose ₱60,000 hits your account. You know some of it is for bills, some for savings, some for upcoming expenses, and some is actually available for fun.

How do you figure out that last number?

Do you:

  • use a spreadsheet?
  • use budgeting app?
  • keep separate bank accounts?
  • use cash/envelopes?
  • calculate it manually?
  • just look at your bank balance and estimate?

And what’s the most frustrating part of the process?
