M&M Portraits

I am finally getting back in the swing of things and have drawn Moxxie and Millie. I felt it was fitting to do them together. I was going to have them look at each other when positioned like this, but 99% of my other portraits have the characters looking at the viewer. The one exception had the character looking at something else in frame. Oh well. While they're not perfect, I'm still happy with them.

Rosie Frame

I went ahead and made a thematic frame for my Rosie portrait, plaque included. Why? Because I wanted to...and I was doing it for all my other portraits lol

Still, this has to be one of my favorite frames for one of my favorite portraits.

I lost my little buddy, but I'm getting ready to welcome a new fish

Hello. I have no idea what flair to put this under since it falls under more than one. It's part showing off photos, part memorial, and part asking for suggestions. If I need to change it, let me know. I'll make whatever changes I need to in order to adhere to the guidelines.

So, this is my 9.3-gallon tank. Unfortunately, it's fishless right now as my bastard child, Bane, passed away a few months ago. I'm okay, but it still sucks, especially since the tank is by my bedside, meaning I can't avoid looking at it. He was a brat, but I loved him, and he loved to greet me by swimming over to the side that faced the bed when I first sat up in the morning. It sucks even more since, when he was dying, he chose to rest next to the glass closest to me, as if he wanted to be with me. I know I'm humanizing him, but still, it felt like the truest form of love a fish is capable of. I miss my little buddy, so enjoy some pictures from when he was healthy. He had diamond eye, but was still fine as far as I could tell.

Now the day I plan on letting myself get a new fishie friend is slowly approaching. I wanted to give it at least three months with a new UV canister filter since I'm pretty sure I know what killed him (hemorrhagic septicemia) and I want to nuke it for the next guy. What I need is recommendations as to where I can go to buy a betta online. The store I got Bane from is gone and I'm skeptical about my local fish store, though I might try them again (especially if it gets too hot for shipping). I've been trying to do my own research, but I want to know if there is a reputable website or a reputable breeder I can get into contact with that ships within the USA. I plan on getting the fish next month, so hopefully I can narrow down my options to one lucky fish.

Once I get my new fish, I'll be sure to introduce them, but for now enjoy some of my favorite pictures of my late fishie and a photo of the tank as a whole (with sick fish censored, not taking any chances).
