I got tired of recruiting hell removing posts

So I created my own r/recruitinghellnoindia, where the recruiters are shady, the job postings are fake, and somehow you’re the assh*le for pointing it out.

Got mass reported for criticizing certain ethnic recruiters? Had your post removed because it made someone uncomfortable? Constantly dealing with spam, resume harvesting, fake urgency, ghosting, bait and switch jobs, or recruiters who seem to have discovered a completely different definition of “professionalism”?

Come vent. Name the agencies. Share the screenshots. Compare notes. Document the bullshit.

I am tired of nowhere on Reddit being a safe space to talk openly about how bad the tech industry is and how horrible applying to jobs is. Even this sub isn’t safe. I have to make up workarounds just to post freely here.

Ethos Mass Rejections Tonight

So the bot gave me about 27 areas to put myself up for. Tonight I’ve been rejected from 10. The rejections just keep coming so it may be more by the end of the night.

If anyone is wondering, rejections are for things I’ve applied to anywhere from 5 hrs ago to 3 days. I know some people said it can take anywhere from 7 days to week but it looks like they cull and mass reject at will rather than how they make it sound with the whole “in review”, which makes it seem like a human is reviewing your calls with the AI.

WARNING: Russell Tobin/Kirti Bangera Employment Scam - Anthropic Product Support Specialist Job ID 1296

**\*\*TLDR: If a Russell Tobin recruiter named Kirti Bangera contacted you about an Anthropic role with Job ID 1296, this is a scam. Do not provide information. See below.\*\***

I was contacted by someone identifying as Kirti Bangera, “Lead Recruiter” at Russell Tobin, about an Anthropic Product Support Specialist position with Job ID 1296. I’m posting this because I suspect others may have been targeted the same way.

I applied to this role on Russell Tobin’s site. She didn’t find me on Linkedin.

She called me initially. She offered me a specific rate of $75 per hour on a W2 basis with a three-month contract. She sent me a Right to Represent (RTR) document to sign, which appeared to be from Russell Tobin’s corporate office. Everything looked legitimate on the surface.

I stopped hearing from her after I submitted the assessment. She just disappeared. I’ve since asked Anthropic if Job ID 1296 exists in their system and if they currently use Russell Tobin for recruiting. Have a feeling this was a scam from start to finish.

Tired of People Asking for Ingredients 🤬

I’ll post photos of what I’m trading but people keep asking for ingredients stickers when no ingredient stickers are in the photo layout for trade? What is wrong with people this album??? Are they just spam posting everyone? Why would you ask for fruits or cheese when nowhere does it shows those stickers???? Stop spamming my posts🤬 I’m just starting to block everyone who asks. This album has caused people to turn into junkies and it’s ridiculous

[iOS] Can’t Post [Reddit App]

Anytime I hit the post button on the upper right it greys out and won’t post. It’s been doing this for weeks. Before I would have to hit it multiple times before it would post, now it won’t post at all. I keep updating the app hoping it’s fixed but it never gets fixed. Now I can’t post at all. It greys out for 30-60 seconds then gives me the something is wrong message. But there’s nothing wrong. I can post the same message by opening Safari.

[CA] Waymo Discriminatory Hiring Practices

Has anyone successfully filed a fair chance hiring complaint in California?

I've been in final panel interviews at Waymo for the past two months. The process was quoted at 2-3 weeks so it's already been a scheduling nightmare with a lot of back and forth. I'm BURNED out. After two panels that felt like walking through molasses, I reached out to my recruiter about two things because I had hit a wall and needed to know I was't continuing for not.

First, the education requirement. I didn't complete university. I moved to Paris one semester, liked it, and stayed. It's listed as incomplete on my resume. I disclosed this before our recruiter screen because it said "MBA preferred". During a final panel prep call he brought it up as if I hadn't, which was frustrating since I'd asked about it in writing before we even scheduled our first call. This guy just refuses to answer it emails. It's frustrating.

He said he'd check with the team. Over a week went by with no reply. I followed up again. I'd previously lost a role at Meta because they required an actual diploma so I needed clarity.

Second, I have a misdemeanor on my record. I'd just had a job offer rescinded at another company over it and I was tired. A lot of work goes into these interviews and I didn't want to spend another week preparing for a final panel if it was going to be a hard stop anyway.

The recruiter replied that the degree wasn't an issue but that my criminal record would prevent them from moving forward. No background check had been initiated. No individualized assessment was conducted. I was rejected based solely on my voluntary disclosure.

This is the language in their own job posting: "Waymo will also consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal records in accordance with applicable law."

I've filed complaints with the California Civil Rights Department and relevant federal agencies. I'm not doing it to get the job back — that ship has sailed. I'm doing it because if their fair chance language is purely performative, the next person deserves better.

Has anyone seen actual results from a CRD complaint or similar process? The performative part of it, is what kills me.
