Speaker advice, looking to upgrade.

Hey guys and girls. I recently got into the hifi and have taken to it like a duck to water. Im looking to upgrade my speakers. Im looking at the Wharfedale Evo 5.2 or the Linton Heritage? I listen mostly to jazz, what do people think?

My budget is £1000-£1200 ish . Based in the UK, unfortunately I don't live close enough to a store where I can listen to them in advance

My first DAS day!

Hey guys, about a month ago I posted about feeling nervous for my DAS course after a pretty shocking CBT experience destroying my confidence.

Today was definitely hard and the 750 was a little intimidating and bloody heavy! But overall it was a super fun experience. I felt a lot more stable on the hornet than what I did on the little 125. The Honda trailing school is brilliant. I still have work to do (obviously) but my mod 1 is on Friday and then my mod 2 the next Friday.

My instructor said I did well and that I was very good at the slow speed stuff because I could go very slow... Which feels like a slight back handed compliment 😂

Not sure how the rest of the week will go, but fingers crossed it goes well. The weather is looking beautiful for the week. Hopefully I'll have some good news this weekend!

Thanks for all your words of reassurance! Im not there yet but certainly feeling a lot better about it all 😆

So my local dealer has a few bikes in my price range. They are all around 2010-2012 bikes with between 6k- 10k on the clock.

The bikes haven't been serviced (at least not stamped services) every year. They have about 3/4 stamps in the book. They all look clean and tiny, nothing is jumping out at me.

Some of the bikes have been used much at all over the last 2/3 years, as per the MOT search. They have all passed without any issues for multiple years in a row. Only tyres showing age as an issue.

I know bikes don't get used as much as cars and some people can take them out because of such and such.

Should I be concerned about this? How common is this?

I only have experience with cars, service every 12 months or 10k miles and so on. So they get at least one stamp a year.

I'll be the first to admit that Im shit with mechanical stuff, I'm trying to learn the basics. I can do an oil change, filter change and such. What do I need to look out for?

Sorry for the ramble, thanks in advance 😊

Bikes such as kawasaki versys 650, Honda cb500x, v strom 650 and so on.

I know the best deal is probably to buy privately, I'm just cautious about getting scammed! Thanks
