GWU Battery Life

Here is a quick review of the battery life of my new GWU2. On Sunday, it was fully charged at 5 A.M. Then I went for a 10K outdoor run, and on Monday, I played soccer/football for 1 hour and 45 minutes (indoors with no GPS; only HR and steps were measured). It's 9:30 A.M. and I have 7% left in the tank. Same settings and same battery life as my GWU1. So basically, it's a GWU2024 but with a new look.

It seems Samsung Vietnam prefers selling new watches over buying back old ones... so I kept both! (GWU2024 vs GWU2)

It feels like Samsung Vietnam is much more interested in pushing new devices than offering decent trade-in values.

For context, here was their Trade-in Deal:

- GWU2 Retail Price: ~$682

- Trade-in value for GWU1 (2024): ~$170

- S-Member Promo Code: -$108

Net Price to upgrade: $404 (Honestly not a great trade-in value for a decent watch).

However, during the 8/8 double-day sale, Samsung Vietnam dropped a special $194 promo code.

So, instead of trading in my GWU1 watch and pay $404 more, I bought the GWU2 for $488 and will use both GWU1 and GWU2 side-by-side!

Drop all your questions comparing the GWU2 vs GWU1 below, I’ll be happy to test and answer them for you!

How is your country's trade-in deal?

Just a random question: How is your country's trade-in deal? In Vietnam, they offered $170 for my watch (GWU2024), and Samsung is selling the GWU2 for $682. There's an additional $108 discount (a promo code for S member users), so I'd have to pay an extra $404. Not a good deal for me. I am keeping my GWU for another year.

Galaxy Watch Ultra accuracy

If you're still wondering how accurate the Galaxy Watch is, check out my 1-hour run yesterday with the GWU 2024 on my left wrist and the Magene H803 on my right bicep. Its battery is terrible, I must say, but I cannot complain about the accuracy.

Missing data on the new update of Samsung Health

I updated the app a few days ago (I don't remember which date), and today I accidentally checked and realized three days of data are completely gone. It doesn't bother me too much since all my workouts that synced to Strava are still there (on Strava), but I just wanted to notify you guys. It seems like Samsung still has a lot to work on with their app.
