Looking for a 3-night getaway from Delhi in early August. Need your best recommendations!

Hi everyone!

My friend and I are planning a 3-night trip in the first half of August. We like to start our trip from Delhi.

Here are what we looking for-

  • Safety is the highest priority. We'd like to avoid destinations that are known for frequent landslides, road closures, or cloudburst risk during the monsoon.
  • We'd prefer to avoid booking another train after reaching Delhi. Direct Volvo buses or simple road journeys are ideal.
  • Budget: around ₹8k–12k per person.
  • We enjoy photography, slow walks, cafés, nature, and just relaxing. We're not looking for adventure sports or trekking.
  • We don't mind occasional rain, but we'd like to avoid places that receive continuous heavy rainfall in early August.

We're open to any suggestions. If you have a place in mind that fits most of these requirements, I'd love to hear why you'd recommend it.

Thanks!

Is it safe to visit Wayanad in the last week of June? Looking for local advice

Hi everyone, I’m planning a 5–7 day trip to Wayanad in the last week of June and would love some local advice.

How safe is it during that time considering the monsoon, heavy rains, landslides, and possible road closures?

What should I expect from a late June visit? Any major dos and don’ts?

Also:

  • Which area is best to stay in and any local recommendations?
  • Which places are worth visiting during the monsoon?
  • Any areas or attractions I should avoid?

I’m mainly looking for nature, greenery, waterfalls, photography, and a relaxed monsoon experience.

I just got admitted into their M.Des Communication Design program (2026–28) and wanted some real feedback before I pay the confirmation fee.

Before confirming, I want to get a clear, honest picture of:

Quality of faculty and teaching
Peer group and overall culture
Placements / internships (real numbers, not brochure claims)
Industry exposure and projects
Any red flags I should know
