In the market for new car . Considering the Outback, Forrester, or Trailseeker.

Context: Empty nesters, Mid 40s, interested in traveling (potentially car camping). Would like to stay sub 45k. Bang for the buck is really important. Bonus if tech features and sound system are great

I am really interested in hybrid or even an ev, but nervous of range issues and sitting at charge stations for a long time… how bad is it. My state offers a 5.5k tax credit for evs.

Would also be open to hearing other thoughts of different makes and models in same category.

Has anyone tried car camping in this. I am specifically interested in the “camp mode” feature which would allow you to run ac overnight while plugged in at an rv spot.
