**Crocs Echo 2 sizing/fit – anyone else find them less comfortable than Classics?**
I normally wear a size **45 in Nike/New Balance** and have always worn **M11 / EU 45–46 in Classic Crocs**, which fit me perfectly.
I recently got the **Echo 2 in M11 / 45–46** as well. Length-wise they seem to be the right size, but while walking my foot tends to move slightly forward and my big toe sometimes touches the front. The toe box also feels a lot firmer/more structured than the Classic, so I notice it much more.
What’s interesting is that I had the adjustable heel strap fairly tight at first. I’ve now **loosened the strap quite a bit**, and they actually seem to fit better. My heel sits more naturally in the heel cup and I seem to have more room at the toes.
Has anyone else noticed this with the **Echo 2**?
Do they fit differently from your Classic Crocs even in the same size?
Does loosening the heel strap make them more comfortable for you?
Did they get more comfortable after wearing them for a while?
Or did you eventually size up?

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some advice regarding an Italian traffic fine that has now been handed over to a Dutch collection agency.
Timeline:
In May 2024 I allegedly drove through a ZTL (restricted traffic zone) in Ravello, Italy, with a rental car.
I never received the original fine at my home address in the Netherlands.
The first correspondence I ever received was from the Italian collection agency NIVI, claiming €266.40.
I immediately contacted them explaining that I had never received the original fine and asked for proof of notification.
After several emails they eventually provided the original violation, which showed the original fine was €133.40 (or €68.10 if paid within 5 days).
They refused to waive the additional costs.
The case was then transferred to a Dutch collection agency (Omnicas), which is now claiming €338.55.
I disputed the additional costs, explaining that I never had the opportunity to pay the original fine because I never received it.
Omnicas then sent me what they describe as proof of delivery of the registered letter. However, the only document they provided is a tracking overview showing:
Registered mail number
“Delivered” in the Netherlands
No recipient name
No address
No signature
No proof that I actually received the letter
I genuinely never received any registered letter or any notice from PostNL.
Omnicas also states that if I don’t pay, they may advise their client to transfer the case to the Dutch CJIB for enforcement under the EU framework.
At this point I have offered to pay the original fine of €133.40, but not the additional interest and collection costs, because I was never given the opportunity to pay the original amount.
My questions:
Has anyone dealt with a similar situation involving NIVI, Omnicas or the CJIB?
Is a tracking status saying “delivered” normally sufficient proof that a registered letter was legally served?
If the case is transferred to the CJIB, would they generally enforce the full claimed amount (€338.55), only the original fine, or something in between?
Would you accept my settlement offer of paying the original €133.40, or would you continue disputing the additional costs?
I’m not trying to avoid paying the original fine. My issue is that I never had the opportunity to pay it because I never received the original notification.
Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Ik ben benieuwd hoe anderen hier tegenaan kijken.
In mei 2024 ben ik met een huurauto door een ZTL (verkeersluwe zone) in Ravello (Italië) gereden. Dat is dus een overtreding en daar heb ik op zich geen discussie over.
Het probleem is dat ik de oorspronkelijke boete nooit heb ontvangen.
De eerste brief die ik ooit ontving was direct van een Italiaans incassobureau, waarin €266,40 werd gevorderd. Ik heb toen meteen contact opgenomen en aangegeven dat ik nooit een oorspronkelijke boete had ontvangen en daardoor ook nooit de kans heb gehad deze binnen de betalingstermijn te voldoen.
Na meerdere e-mails stuurden zij uiteindelijk de oorspronkelijke boete toe. Daaruit bleek dat de oorspronkelijke boete €133,40 bedroeg (of €68,10 bij betaling binnen 5 dagen).
Later is het dossier overgedragen aan een Nederlands incassobureau, dat inmiddels €338,55 vordert.
Ik heb opnieuw uitgelegd dat ik de oorspronkelijke boete nooit heb ontvangen en daarom de rente, incassokosten en verhogingen onterecht vind.
Het Nederlandse incassobureau heeft vervolgens een document gestuurd dat volgens hen bewijst dat de aangetekende brief is bezorgd. Dat document bevat echter alleen:
een trackingnummer;
de melding dat een aangetekende zending in Nederland is afgeleverd;
géén naam;
géén adres;
géén handtekening;
géén bewijs dat ik de brief daadwerkelijk heb ontvangen.
Ik heb ook nooit een aangetekende brief of een bericht van PostNL ontvangen.
Nu geven ze aan dat de zaak mogelijk wordt overgedragen aan het CJIB voor verdere tenuitvoerlegging.
Ik heb inmiddels aangeboden om de oorspronkelijke boete van €133,40 te betalen, maar niet de rente, incassokosten en overige verhogingen. Ik probeer dus niet onder de boete uit te komen, maar vind het onredelijk dat ik honderden euro’s extra moet betalen terwijl ik nooit de gelegenheid heb gehad de oorspronkelijke boete tijdig te voldoen.
Mijn vragen:
Heeft iemand ervaring met een vergelijkbare situatie?
Is een trackingstatus “afgeleverd” zonder naam, adres of handtekening voldoende bewijs dat een aangetekende brief rechtsgeldig is bezorgd?
Hoe groot achten jullie de kans dat het CJIB zo’n zaak daadwerkelijk overneemt?
Als het CJIB de zaak overneemt, innen zij dan meestal het volledige bedrag inclusief verhogingen of alleen de oorspronkelijke boete?
Zouden jullie vasthouden aan het aanbod om alleen de oorspronkelijke boete te betalen of toch het volledige bedrag voldoen?
Alle ervaringen of juridisch onderbouwde reacties zijn welkom.
