Apologies if this isn't the right forum for this question, but I thought the FF community would be best equipped to answer this query.

My husband and I are both self employed and do decently for ourselves in a V/HCOL city. We average $1m/annually, but this year we will be bringing in $10m+/-. It's a big jump to say the least. This is very strongly driven by my husband's job and he will receive his first million dollar paycheck in September most likely.

I'd/we'd like to do something to celebrate the occasion but are kind of drawing a blank on what. We don't need/want it to be something grand, but open to any suggestions. Should we go on a getaway somewhere? A very nice bottle of champagne? Something else altogether? For context, we don't have children and don't really deprive ourselves of nice things in life, especially nice dinners, wines, travel, and because of that, some of my previously mentioned suggestions don't feel *special* enough. On top of that, he just had his 50th this year as well and we did a very nice (but intimate) celebration for it in NYC that included all of what I just mentioned (3* Michelin restaurant, special champagne, fab hotel, etc). We are really looking for something more meaningful for this one, rather than a huge outspend, but again open to all suggestions!

Would love to hear how you celebrated when you previously hit similar major milestones! TIA

Does anyone know if online purchases go towards your pre-spend? Located in the US if it matters. TIA!

Long time lurker, first time poster, apologies for any formatting issues, etc.

My husband and I recently stopped by our local store (US) and ordered two matching watches during the custom watch event. We are so excited to receive them! I worked with an SA who I’ve purchased through in the past, but he is very difficult to get in touch with/receive a response from and generally kind of spacey (but SO nice and very charming). I attribute his lack of communication to me still being new to the game and not having spent much yet. That same day I also ordered two pairs of shoes as well.

At the end of the appt I told him my wish list items and he responded very well and actually rather enthusiastically (B25 in various shades of green or chocolate brown). However I had also told him the same thing the very first time I met him last year and he did not remember any of it lol. When I met him then he was very candid with me and said he doesn’t believe in the “game” or that “pre-spend” is a thing and that to him, it’s really about the relationship. I introduced him to my best friend a while back and he offered her a Vert Cypress Picotin on the spot (the last one they were receiving for the year- he showed us on their internal ordering system).

So I guess my question is, do the watches go towards pre-spend from your understanding…and has anyone else met an SA who denied the concept of the game existing or having to spend a certain amount before receiving a QB?
