Hello! I got my first sample in for a men's swim brief. I thought it was weird but she asked me for specific measurements which I provided (I honestly have no idea what I'm doing there but I did my best haha). The sample came and was close but it's kinda wonky due to me probably providing the wrong measurements.
Now I'm thinking, if I wanted to just put my print on a simple design that they said they have done in the past (as advertised on their alibaba listing), why would I need provide my own measurements? The quality of the product is pretty nice and she listened to my customizations (besides them printing a pixelated version of my print but thats another issue). For context, the other manufacturer I'm working with for samples did not ask for anything just needed the print but I already know the manufacturing quality won't be as nice.
I'm a textile artist so the product development side is a whole new beast. I paid $60 for the sample plus a shipping charge. Did I overcomplicate the process by providing my own measurements? Or should I be providing a tech pack if I just want my print on an already existing simple product silhouette they advertise? Thanks.
Edit: also, I keep getting DMs from manufacturers on here... are they all scammers? I have been staying on alibaba for protection but not sure how everyone else does business.

i dont know how lol but i managed to get the right measurements for swimwear and get a sample produced in china. i really like my sample and my consultant but i am such am amateur, what information do i need to ask for directly moving forward to start production?

i love soundcloud for how you can discover the most obscure artists from all around the world, just normal people with a passion. it started about 4 months ago but whenever i try to discover new music it starts playing ai music after a real artist almost every time. i remember when i first got tricked by a really cool song and after a few listens i checked out their profile and it was all ai… thats when i knew soundcloud was cooked. its okay to like ai music and dont get me wrong maybe people should be allowed to upload hundreds of ai generated songs because thats what they do but can i opt out of it?
please soundcloud overlords, let us opt out of the ai music autoplay!

I am wondering if anyone can recommend a budget PAS camera specifically for stock photos? I found a niche for my photography and I have been using my iPhone which does a decent job, only issue is that only about 60% of my photos are accepted on Adobe. For context, I do own a nice DSLR but I run about 50 miles a week and that is when I shoot photos so I can't run with that camera. Thanks!
I’ve worked for a company for 4 years and it’s hard to imagine leaving but I feel that I can no longer do it. Watching outside hires get chosen for leadership roles and project managers get promoted for my creative vision has left me feeling empty and hopeless. We recently had a change in management and the marketing lead got a huge raise while I got nothing even though I have kept the business afloat while elevating the brand to becoming a global contender. I didn’t realize that the graphic designer is not a valued part of a company until it was too late and I put too much into it… if I knew there was no future for me here I would have not gone above and beyond all these years. Can anyone else relate? And how did you get out? Even the thought of putting in my two weeks has me sick. Thanks.
