Week 1 of Flower (flipped 6/24) – Looking for feedback on canopy and health

Hey everyone, looking for some feedback on how these girls are handling the transition. They’ve been in the 12/12 flower stage since June 24th, so I’m just about a week in. I’d love to know if the current structure looks good or if there are any red flags I should be worried about.

I did some defoliation on the day of the flip removed the lower growth and some fan leaves to help with airflow and focus energy. I noticed some slight yellowing shortly after the flip, so I gave them a light feeding of Dr. Earth Flower Girl Bud & Bloom Booster (4-10-7) a couple of days ago to help them along.

You can check out the current status in the images.

Setup Specs:

Medium: Royal Gold Kings Mix in 5-gallon fabric pots. Added Mycorrhizal, and worm castings.

Environment: Temps running 75–82°F with humidity at 55–60%. VPD is holding around 1.2 kPa.

Lighting: Running a Spider Farmer G3000. I adjusted the light height from 14–16 inches. Around 600 to 650 ppfd

Does anything look off to you guys? Any red flags or signs of stress I should be concerned about at this stage? Any advice or critiques are appreciated! This is my first grow ever. And they are being bottom watered from ac infinity bases.

Does any of this look authentic?

Or are they all replicas? Was given to them as a gift to collect. The person who gave them to me didnt know if they were real or fake and had been given them like 30 years ago.

Sanity check on 300w bar light height for new sprouts plus a few basic questions

Hey everyone,

Just kicked off a new indoor run with 5 fresh sprouts and I am looking for a quick sanity check on my setup.

Right now I have a 300 watt bar light hung exactly 24 inches above the top of the seedlings and it is set at 20 percent power on the dimmer dial. Is 2 feet at 20 percent a good sweet spot for day one and day two sprouts under a bar light like this?

Also woke up this morning and my humidifier tank ran completely empty. Two of the baby sprouts looked a little sad and droopy. I panicked a bit, grabbed some dechlorinated water pHed right at 6.5, and gave them a tiny micro drink, basically just about 1 to 1.5 small kitchen spoons of water right around the base of the stem. Luckily before I left for work they perked right back up and looked totally happy again.

One of them is coming out of the dirt at a slight angle or slant. Is that normal or do I need to prop it up with something?

Also I noticed a tiny bit of browning on the very tip of one leaf. I accidentally had the dimmer at 40 percent all day yesterday before dropping it to 20 percent last night. Could that brief 40 percent blast have caused the tip singe, or is it just a natural seed birthmark?

When I opened the tent there was also a rogue fly buzzing around inside. I grabbed the vacuum hose and sucked it right out of the air. Since I found a fly in a high humidity seedling environment, what specific pests or signs should I be aggressively watching out for over the next few days? Fungus gnats?

On a side note I tried germinating 3 other seeds using the paper towel method alongside these. It has been about 4 or 5 days now and absolutely nothing has cracked or sprouted from them yet. Are they official duds at this point or should I keep waiting?

I have an AC Infinity controller AI plus and equipment so the environment stays pretty optimal, but because my lung room is naturally dry and hot the humidifier and inline fan go back and fourth running all day to keep it level. I can post my settings or stats if anyone needs to see them.

I attached photos showing the plants over the last 3 days so you guys can see the size and the soil dryness. Thanks in advance for any help!

First time outdoor grower, are they ready to top or transplant yet?

Hey everyone,

I'm completely new to growing and could really use a little advice from the community.

I’ve got 3 outdoor plants going right now. I'm posting 2 pictures of each plant so you can see exactly what they look like.

My main question is: should I top them right now? If it is time, where exactly should I make the cut? I keep hearing and reading about "nodes," but to be honest, I'm not entirely sure how to look at the plant and actually identify where they are.

Also, I'm thinking about transplanting them soon—probably in the next day or two. It seems like they're sucking the soil dry and needing water every single day now, so I'm guessing they might be outgrowing their current pots. Should I top them before transplanting or after?

Sorry to sound like a total noob, I just want to make sure I don't mess anything up this early on. I appreciate any tips or pointers you guys can give me!

First grow tent build! 🌿 Does my setup look correct? Need some airflow/intake advice.

Hey everyone,

First-time grower here! I just finished putting together my first tent (running a Spider Farmer G3000) and Ac infinity everything else, also using AI+ I'm attaching a picture of the current build. Before I get too far along, I was hoping to get some more experienced eyes on it.

A few specific questions for you all:

*General Check:*

Does everything look correct overall? What would you do differently if this was your setup?

*Oscillating Fan:*

Where is the absolute best position for my oscillating fan to get good air circulation without causing wind burn?

*Intake/Exhaust Confusion:*

My inline exhaust fan is currently mounted on the left side of the tent, and the ducting runs out of the top right rear hole. Because of this setup, where and how should I set up my intake hole? How does the passive intake actually work with the negative pressure? Am I supposed to just leave one of those holes open or how am I supposed to use the "intake"

I’m completely new to the indoor tent side of things, so I'd appreciate any help or constructive criticism I can get.

Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone,

I’m narrowing down my AIWB search for my current EDC (Shield X, TLR-7 HL-X Sub, Vortex Defender) and I'm heavily leaning toward the Hellhound Arms Guardian. A few guys recommended the brand to me recently, and I’m really interested in trying them out.

I saw on their site that they offer a crazy amount of customization—different colored Kydex, Cordura wraps, custom finishing washers, etc. Before I place an order, I want to see what you guys actually bought! If you run a custom Hellhound rig, especially the Guardian, drop a pic below. I need some inspiration for patterns and color combos.

Also, I’d love to hear your thoughts on the actual comfort and concealment:

* I’m 6’0”, 205 lbs with a slight gut, and I run a Hunter Constantine belt. How does this holster feel for all-day AIWB?

* Does the Cordura wrap actually make a noticeable difference in comfort against the skin compared to bare Kydex?

* I usually wear slightly tighter fitting, thin t-shirts from Walmart. Does the Guardian conceal easily under thinner/fitted shirts, or do you find yourself needing to size up or throw on a flannel to make it disappear?

Lastly, if you actually don't recommend the Guardian model for this setup and think one of Hellhound's other models would work better for me, please let me know which one and why!

Let me know what you think of yours!

Hey everyone,

I’m trying to lock down the perfect appendix (AIWB) holster for my current EDC setup and could use some input. I'm looking for a premium product—something that is highly comfortable for all-day wear, fits the gun securely, and makes it absolutely disappear. Good concealment and minimizing printing are huge priorities for me.

My Setup:

Gun: S&W M&P Shield X

Light: Streamlight TLR-7 HL-X Sub

Optic: Vortex Defender CCW

Belt: Hunter Constantine Belt

For context on fitment: I’m about 6’0”, 205 lbs, with a slight gut. Since I’m carrying appendix, I really need a holster that accommodates my build and won't aggressively dig into my stomach when I sit down or bend over.

Because the HL-X Sub has that extended bezel, finding the right fit has been a little tricky. I’ve narrowed it down to a few companies that specifically make molds for this exact gun/light combo with an optic cut:

Tulster (ARC Series)

Four Brothers Holsters

Werkz Holsters

Mission First Tactical / MFT

If you have experience with any of these carrying AIWB, which one gets your vote and why? How well does it handle sitting with a similar body type?

Also, if there is another premium holster company I missed that makes a rig for this specific combo, please drop it below! I'd love to hear what you guys are running, why you chose it over the competition, and how well it actually conceals for guys with a slight gut.

Thanks in advance!
