I set up Alipay 2 days ago and today I got an email from service@mail.alipay.com stating I needed to upload a voucher. When I try and go into the app I can log on with my email and phone number, I can see my profile photo - however, when I log in it goes to an "Appeal" page which says "Restriction removal requirements to be fulfilled" and under there is only one option which is to enter a Chinese back card number. I am Canadian and thought I had already linked a VISA. There is no way to get to the home page. I was attempting to submit my passport via the link they emailed and it was slow so I gave up and then Google told me it may be phishing. Help please.

I will be travelling for 9 months in europe and asia. I currently pay $50 a month after taxes and fees. I plan to use esim or physical local sims in other countries while traveling. I occasionally need to receive authorization text messages for my banking. What is the cheapest and best way for me to do this? Thank you.
