Some of my ship designs in my game (Unsung Void)

After 4 years in development as a solo dev, I'm finally willing to post in-engine shots of my game publicly.

I'm a HUGE spaceship nerd - as a teenager I was an active game modder for Empire at War/Forces of Corruption. You can still see my old mod here so you know I'm legit 😄 It's the game that got me into photoshop and 3d modeling, and led to my career in technology.

I'm 32 now, and for the past 3-4 years I've been self-teaching (or reteaching, in some cases) game programming, Blender, Substance Painter, shader programming and game design. I have a background in software development, but it hasn't kept me from making endless mistakes and 5 failed prototypes so far!

As a design language I've sketched and iterated on hundreds of ships, and I'm still not a great ship designer. I definitely lean into the soft-scifi ship design concepts because I just like the variety of shape languages possible.

PS - Thanks to the mods for being open to allowing sharing my game here! I don't want to self advertise, I just know this community is the one that I'd most benefit from feedback from :)

[Revshare] Programmer/Game Designer looking for partner in crime for tactical space RPG

I'm a generalist dev/designer looking for another person(s) with a similar vision to help me out on an ongoing project.

I'm not seeking idea guys - I'm looking for experienced or self-taught (with portfolio) folks to help take a project from its current development state to a full fledged game. That means an ability and willingness to do real game design heuristics, UI design, QA, interaction design, maybe some tricky programming to help me out, etc. So far, I've been doing all of it myself. I'm open to different combinations of skills, depending on the person.

The game is in a playable state and has somewhat clear development roadmap that can be collaborated on with the right partner, as well as some questionable technology decisions that I've made along the way that we can change if necessary :) That being said, its a working concept with a load of art and assets I've made myself or collaborated with real artists on, including writers! Nothing in this project is a marketplace purchase, premade asset, AI slop, etc.

I don't have a ton of online marketing yet, but I have a discord server and an out of date tiktok if you want to feel out the vibe. Gameplay clips are mostly out of date, but should provide an idea of what's being built.

If you have a portfolio and a real interest, DM or leave your links here and I'll email you to set up a time to chat if theres a potential. I'm looking for a real partner to actually collaborate with, even if its part-time, so please be realistic about the commitment you can provide and whether it aligns with the project. Thanks!

[Request] Art for my D&D Art Wall

Hi folks! Hopefully this is an okay request but I'm building a huge fantasy art wall of printed sketches from myself, friends, past commissions and more. The D&D room is a wizard study theme - the wall is largely comprised of custom spell images, commissioned art, and hand drawn sketches by myself.

Thought I'd specifically post here in case folks were interested in sketching some world/lore stuff - honestly whatever quality is great! The D&D room is themed like a wizard's study - so sketchy messy studies on locations, anatomy, etc are awesome. Ill gladly share pics of your work on the wall if I still have space 😄

Here's some stuff from the campaign in case it helps - feel free to use anything or just send over any cool fantasy stuff you dont mind me using!
