Under the current UC test blind admissions rules would attening a rigorous magnet high school be a disadvantage for admissions?

I understand that under the current admissions rules standarized test scores are not a factor and applicants are evaluated based on grades and how well they perform compared to the rest of their school. I was wondering would attending a rigorous magnet high school where teachers give allot of work thats full of kids that study and do homework put an applicant at a disadvantage compared to a regular public school where most kids don't care and don't do homework? This is assuming that the applicant would only be in the middle of the class ranking at the rigorous magnet high school but top of the class at the regular public school only because at the regular public school most kids don't care or try.

Did anyone's Asian Parents want them to go to a certain college but didn't actually read the admissions rules and sabotaged their admission?

I spent most of my teenage years growing up in Austin TX. I was a gifted child but I never liked school or homework or really believed in education but because I was gifted I attended the school districts magnet program for gifted kids at Kealing Middle School. I always though the idea of magnet school was stupid because the teachers gave lots of work and what would count as C level work in magnet would be A work in regular schools.

When I was around 12 my parents said they would be proud of me if I got into UT Austin. When they told me that I looked up the admissions rules for UT Austin and back then it it explicitly was written that the top 10% of a high school would automatically be admitted. My 12 year old self knew that regular schools were allot easier and most kids in regular schools didn't care about school so I figured if I went to my zoned high school it would be easy to get into UT Austin. I looked up the stats for my zoned high school and according to official reports the majority of kids were not proficient in reading, writing and math so that meant I could easily be in the top 10% by just showing up and shutting up and not fighting. I excitedly told my parents that I wanted to go to my zoned high school so I could get into UT Austin without having to learn anything. However, my dreams of going to an easy regular school and getting into UT Austin were crushed after 8th grade when my parents didn't listen to me told me I would be going to LASA for high school.

LASA was essentially a gifted magnet high school where the teachers would assign lots of work and the kids would actually do it. It was the worst high school to apply to UT Austin from because it essentially concentrated all the smart kids who did homework into one school and they were ranked against each other. To me LASA was a stupid school because the whole thing was just fucking stupid. Needless to say I was depressed during my high school years and only had mediocre grades to show for it. I was near the bottom of my class ranking due to having to compete against a school full of smart kids who did homework and I didn't get into UT Austin.

Whats FTO like in a small town?

I know generally FTO is ment to train a new officer in the field familiarize the officer with his beat and evaluate the new officer in various scenarios that he would encounter and its a standarized process in larger deparments.

But in relatively quiet a small town where there hasn't been a murder in over 20 years, where the new officer already knows the area beucase its his home town and is already familiar with the usual suspects because they frequently appear on his county busted mugshot facebook page what would the FTO process be like? In a smaller town the scenarios new officer would typically be evaluated on might not happen during the FTO phase.

Is the NYPD the only police department with seperate unions for different ranks

I see that the NYPD has the Police Benevolent Association for the regular cops, Detectives' Endowment Association for Detectives, Sergeants Benevolent Association for Sergeants, Lieutenants Benevolent Association for Lieutenants, and Captains' Endowment Association for Captains. Is it the only police department that does that and when officers get premoted do they switch unions automatically? My mid-size town just as a local police assocation for all ranks
