I’m putting together a Baltimore bakery crawl for my daughter who loves all things bakery. We just came back from Portland Maine where she became obsessed with Scratch Baking Company. Looking for bakery suggestions along those lines. So far, I have 1) Cafe De Leon 2) La Maison 3) Doppia 4) Ovenbird.

I also see Patisserie Poupon recommended but I’m considered skipping because I’ve seen a lot of comments about rude staff. Is that accurate? Not wanting to soil her birthday with a rude interaction if I can avoid it.

We are visiting Sao Miguel and Terceira late September through October from the US. Does it make more sense to do one island before the other? I was thinking Terceira might make sense to do first as clearing customs from the US might be shorter there then in Sao Miguel. Anything we should consider?
