For federal employees who switched from full-time to part-time, was it worth it? Did it improve your quality of life enough to justify the lower pay? How did it affect your benefits, retirement, and leave? and how does the process work? I talk to my manager?
I just received my invitation for the DEA Special Agent PTA and proctored assessments. For anyone who’s taken them recently, what should I expect? How difficult are the PTA, Test of Observation and Recall, and Writing Exercise? Any general preparation tips (without violating the NDA)? Thanks!

I know nothing has been announced officially, but has anyone heard any credible rumors about federal employees getting administrative leave, an early dismissal, or any other time off on Thursday, July 2, for the 250th anniversary of Independence?
I’m not looking for wishful thinking—just wondering if anyone has heard anything through agency leadership, unions, OPM, or other reliable sources.
Or has it been completely quiet so far this year?
I’m trying to understand the reasoning from the management side. If medical documentation has already been submitted and the RAC is still reviewing or coordinating, why deny temporary/interim telework for 90 days instead of allowing it while the final determination is being made?
