Thoughts on Buckwheat
What are your thoughts on the Buckwheat expense tracker app??
My only problem is I have to bump up the budget every time.
Here is a clear example: Say I set a budget of 10k. I spend 8k on shoes and note it in Buckwheat. Later, I return the shoes (wrong fit, changed my mind, whatever) and get the full 8k back — so my account is back to 10k.
But Buckwheat doesn't know the purchase was reversed. Since the 8k expense is still noted, my only way to reflect the refund is to bump my budget up to 18k, just to "absorb" money that was never actually spent — there's no way to simply reverse or undo the noted expense when a purchase doesn't stick (like a return within a typical 7-day window).
