Original post: Threw 8yo nephew on the sim after he watched me tinywhooping.

Kid is a natural. Hitting gaps within an hour of sim time. Obviously he is begging for a drone, but I'm struggling to get across to him and his dad about betaflight, and fixing the drone, and that crashing has consequences beyond what an 8yo can handle, and his dad is not into tinkering or fixing or anything like that.

I was thinking some sort of beginner BetaFPV rtf, but they're sold out!

I live in North America, in the mountains roughly 1hr east of a major city on the west coast.

On an average day I'll see multiple deer, countless rare bird species, lots of raptors in particular,skunks, raccoons, countless rodents. Coyotes are pretty regular visitors, and I hear them every night. It's not uncommon to see elk and occasionally bears. Rarely a mountain lion.

For most people who live outside cities in the west coast, this isn't considered excessive or uncommon.

It got me thinking... I wonder what my European comrades are dealing with!?

And what are your hopes for the direction it goes?

Recently swapped out the O4 pro in my Flywoo Explorer. It won't snap out of Low Power Mode though. Anyone have any thoughts?

The amount of shops that are not in Google maps or Apple Maps is way too high.

I've had a couple different issues with an order, and it's been over a week since I've started reaching out. I got one auto reply email, and then never again. I've followed up like four times

I live in an area literally perfect for LR and a few months back was gifted a Flywoo Explorer.

It's definitely better than anything I've had before for long range, but where I flies usually pretty windy, and the altitude is quite high. I'm routinely launching from >3500' altitude, and occasionally am launching from >5000'

Right now if I cruise gently, I average about 2 1/2 miles at 30mph before I have to turn around. I'm using the 4S LiOn Explorer battery made by Flywoo.

Anyone have any tips or tricks to increase the range? I'd love to hit that 5+ miles mark before having to turn around, but I am assuming that's unlikely

This seems to happen with a few different models and brands. But the one that comes up for me right now is the Tinyhawk 3. Someone got me the RTF kit as a gift, and there are no spare parts or spare props or batteries available on EMAX. Same with GetFPV and Ali. I know they just dropped a new model, so I'm wondering if at a certain point they just stop producing extra parts for "older" models and you're just left with whatever you got in the RTF kit.

This is something I I know retailers have felt for a long time, but only in the last couple years have I really heard retailers say this to me directly.

In the last six months, I am hearing this directly from retailers face-to-face more and more and more as if it's become established business practice.

It's not. This industry is hard enough as it is, nonpayment makes it harder for everyone else. I don't care if you had payroll this week, you knew you had payroll when you signed this agreement to pay my company.

No one has any right to not pay anyone else if they agreed to pay a certain amount at a certain time.

I can't believe this is even a discussion we have to have in our industry...
