Went on yukon striker twice without wait

I went around 20:15 to 20:30 and the single rider lane was completely clear. Was my second time going to Wonderland and trying Yukon Striker. The lines were pretty good for other rides too. Thanks to the poster that mentioned the crowd levels were good today. Otherwise I would not have bothered in the heat lol.

G2 fail - Toronto Metro East

I have taken 15-20 lessons. This was my first G2 attempt. I do not have access to a car to practice apart from instructor lessons.

My major mistakes:

  1. Went 37 in a 30 zone ( got a verbal warning). I honestly remember seeing the speed sign and do not even remember how I accelerated to 37. Maybe it was the nerves.
  2. Driving instructor mentioned I passed too close to a parked car for which she asked me why I did that. I just apologized. I did not even notice that I went too close. Maybe it was the nerves or I just did not realize that I was too close.
  3. She did not like my turns. I cut corners and turned wide based on the feedback.
  4. Missed a right signal. I honestly do not even remember how this happened. Don't know where this happened.
  5. My parkings were not good. This one I already know. I still do not have the hang of parkings.
  6. Apparently I only used mirrors while backing during parking. This is a bit perplexing as I was checking a lot apart from mirrors and visibly turning my head.
  7. Steering control was choppy. This my driving instructor with whom I have been taking lessons has also previously mentioned.
  8. I also got checked for right of way self. Do not understand this one completely. Maybe it is for the 3 point turn. During the 3 point turn 2-3 cars came on my right and I tried to complete it quickly as I did not think there was enough space for them to pass. And she said at the end my 3 point turn was not a 3 point turn. I basically did not do it in 3 swift motions but took one extra reverse and then turned left as I was worried about hitting the curb.
  9. Incorrect vehicle position for parking on a grade is a bit baffling for me as I assumed I had pulled over correctly and angled the wheels left for uphill. I was near to the curb too.

Based on this sheet, does anyone have suggestions to improve apart from practicing more.

Appreciate any helpful feedback. Thanks

First time was insane

My very first ride in wonderland was Yukon Striker. It was so fucked lol...not sure if in a good way. But I was front seat first time in the park and first row. I do not think I am ever forgetting that. The 90 degree drop, the hang before the first drop....it was unreal. I think this was my scariest experince. I would like to do it again sometime. The first drop regret is absolutely fucking real, I had read about it here.

My only two experiences that were negative were both within my first hour before getting on a single ride. The first was when I could not see the locker number I rented for the Yukon Striker and had to ask for help 3 times at Klondike and they kept on saying someone would come but nobody did for half an hour, at which point I left without using the locker. And the second, while waiting my turn for Yukon Striker an employee yelled at me thrice really loudly to get out of the line as she assumed I was line breaking with a group of other people who looked like me ( pretty sure it was racial profiling). They were actually line breaking while I was not. I yelled back for 20s for that as it was uncalled for and really rude when she was the one who was mistaken.

Other than these two negative experiences in the first hour, had an amazing time. I did not even take a break for food as I started around 1:50 pm and did not want to waste time for food. I only started feeling a bit nauseous after The Bat. And then too I continued trying different rides till 7:50 pm. The only major ride I did not do was Alpen Fury because the wait was always atleast an hour and did not feel worth it. But Yukon Striker is definitely the scariest out of big three imo. It also might be because it is very overwhelming for a first ride front row lol. Can't wait to visit the park again with someone else next time lol.

How were the lines today?

I really wanted to go today but decided against as I read online it was gonna be super crowded. Ans without fast lane was not gonna be worth it spending 80% of time in lines. For people who visited today, how bad were the lines?

What are the options for renting cars on weekends with a G2?

I am learning to drive atm. And will hopefully clear my G2 in sometime. I am not planning on buying a car. But do want to rent a few times a month , maybe 3-4 for weekend trips and to maintain my skills too for later when I attempt G.

Whate are some good rental options? I am researching in advance so I know what to look for. Also, what is the approximate cost for a day rental? Thanks for any helpful suggestions.

I am planning on visiting next week. Not sure about what pass to get. I would be going solo. Is there any advice you would give to someone visiting for the first time? Like what rides to do first? I have read the lines are really long. Thanks for any helpful suggestions.
