hello all new to soxl thinking about selling a CSP, but typical warning signs of not holding a 3x leveraged fund that doesn't make sense to long hold. thing is I'm noticing a bunch of you here are holders of SOXL. thoughts on me selling a CSP? or what are your guesses on a good support?
Hey everyone! I'm pretty new to running local LLMs and could use some help.
I'm running LM Studio on CachyOS with 32GB of RAM, and I've been testing some popular models that fit within 7–8GB of memory — Qwen3.5, Gemma, etc. The first couple of days went smoothly, but then my laptop started randomly rebooting mid-conversation when switching between models. I thought it might be model-specific (something about calculation design, according to an AI I consulted), so I switched back to what I figured was the most stable option: Qwen3 VL 8B Instruct. It just crashed again.
There was also an error mentioning Vulkan and how it interacts with my Intel GPU.
I did a quick search here and noticed others reporting crashes too — even on more powerful setups like the 9070 XT — so it doesn't seem isolated to my hardware.
A couple of questions:
Was cleaning out my closet and found this sitting there. I have Ubuntu on it, given the measly 8gb ram I can use Chrome with 8-10 tabs just fine. Anyone else using an old LG gram like this? My trackpad paint has a few chipping on the left side.
