So basically I have recently joined a Literary Club in my college looking for opportunities in creative writing, article writing etc. However, now I am getting to know that I need to start public speaking as it is the club's domain preferably. But the last time I probably spoke infront of the class was back in 2023. I am honestly not comfortable speaking although I do wish to try and improve. There is an elocution meeting tomorrow and honestly I am a bit scared to attend.

The problem is I can write well enough but I feel like I would struggle to perform them as my voice is extremely soft that people can barely hear me, and also I struggle somewhat when I am extremely nervous infront of a crowd especially without any reading material. I know there is a first time for everything but I wish I got more time to prepare for the elocution.

Is there any advice as to how to perform an elocution for the first time or deal with my nerves? I am extremely scared right now. I would be extremely grateful for any help, thank you.

I bought all four after trying the warm sugar as a sample. Coming from collecting proper fragrance the price point felt almost too low to take seriously, which turned out to be the wrong assumption.

Warm sugar: vanilla forward with a pink grapefruit top note that burns off within the first twenty minutes leaving a soft warm base. Projects closer to the hair than on skin which suits it, intimate rather than loud. The one I reach for most days.

Sheer violet: raspberry and violet opening, settles into a soft musky base that's surprisingly wearable for something that opens quite fruity. More complex than the name suggests. Lasts slightly longer than warm sugar on my hair.

Rustic vanilla: the most unisex of the four, smoky tonka and cedar rather than sweet vanilla. Reads as intentional and considered rather than gourmand. My pick for layering over heavier skin fragrances without competing.

Pistachio latte: expected to like this least and it surprised me. Nutty and warm with a coconut undertone, subtle enough that it doesn't smell like food despite the name. The one most people seem to either love or ignore.

Across all four the kitsch hair perfume line neutralizes odors rather than layering fragrance on top of existing hair smell, which is a functional difference from gisou or ouai that becomes obvious once you've experienced it. Longevity sits around three to four hours on my hair which is honest for the category and the price. Not byredo, not trying to be.

If you want luxury presentation buy gisou. If you want something that does the job at a price that makes daily use guilt free, this range earns it.

I paid 10k, now do I need to pay the remaining amount by 7th July? in addition to that, do I need to pay the security deposit and examination fees right now?

And the registration is starting from today, although I can't see any option for that in my CUIMS portal, will it be available only after I pay the fees? What if I opt for transportation later?

Hey everyone, I'll be joining Chandigarh University this upcoming session for the BBA in Business Analytics program. I want to get a realistic picture of the academic environment, strictness, and campus life before day one.

If any seniors or current students could drop their honest insights on these points, it would be incredibly helpful:

1. Curriculum & Tech Tools—

a. How early in the program do we actually start practical work on Python and SQL?

b. Do professors teach coding/analytics tools completely from scratch, assuming no prior programming background?

c. Are the tech-heavy subjects taught by core business faculty, or do professors from the Computer Science/Data Science departments come in?

d. Is evaluation mostly based on traditional written theory exams, or do we get practical lab projects and dashboard-building assignments?

2. Placements & Corporate Alignment—

a. When firms visit, do they offer specialized roles for BBA Analytics (like Junior Data Analyst or Associate Consultant), or does everyone get clubbed into general sales/marketing roles?

b. Does the department actively help you land core data/analytics internships in the 3rd and 4th years, or do most students have to source them off-campus on their own?

c. Are industry certifications (Google, Microsoft, etc.) built directly into our curriculum/exams, or do we have to pursue them separately?

3. Scholarship & Academic Rigor—

a. For maintaining an entry scholarship, how strictly are the 7.5 CGPA and 75% attendance criteria monitored at the end of the year?

b. How difficult is it to maintain a 7.5 CGPA in the management department? Is the marking system relatively relaxed, or do they curve the grades tightly?

c. If you slip up in just one semester or get a single backlog, do they immediately cancel the entire scholarship, or is there a probation/appeal process?

4. Faculty & Crowd—

a. How is the overall crowd quality in the business/management department? Is the environment highly competitive and ambitious, or is it more laid-back?

b. How supportive are the faculty members when it comes to mentorship, profile building, or guiding you through extra projects outside the syllabus?

5. The 4th Year (NEP Structure)—

a. For current batches entering their 4th year, what’s the general trend—are more people opting for the Corporate Internship track or the Research/Honors stream?

b. Does the placement cell view the 4th-year "Honors with Research" degree as a major asset for high-package corporate roles, or is it mostly beneficial for an immediate MBA or master's abroad?

6. Campus Rules & Policies (Dress Code, Menstrual Leave, Ragging)—

a. What is the exact dress code policy for BBA students? Is it strictly formal every single day, or do we have casual days? How rigidly is it checked at the gates?

b. s there any official policy or relaxation regarding menstrual leave when it comes to the mandatory 75% attendance calculation, or do medical leaves for this require intense documentation on CUIMS?

c. What is the ground reality regarding ragging or senior-junior dynamics on campus and in nearby PG areas? Is the campus environment generally safe and welcoming?

I recently got to know that only BBA (general) is under Adesh group and rest elsewhere, is it true? If I want to switch into some specialization now, is it possible and will my 25% scholarship get cancelled? What about the 10k I've submitted?

Received the text below from department counselor. Do I really need to pay remaining fees now? My first attempt was on 30th November, 2025 and I gave my second attempt today 18th May, 2026.

"Hello students. Those whose last date of ferr payment was 30.04.2026, are required to pay the fee for the first semester now. So kindly make the payement and share the screen shot with me. Those who have already done kindly share the screen shot."

I am so confused with the PU website. Is BBA (Hons.) available or only the BBA-MBA integrated course? Is it direct admission based on 12th marks? If it's BBA-MBA then is there an exit option after 3rd year? Is there a quota based admission? Do I need to give any entrance exam? Please help.
