Any tips for playing Dale?

I’ve been playing Dale recently and every attempt I end up losing as Erebor and Mirkwood Elves are obliterated by turn 60 and Rhun controls the east. Inevitably the goblins and dol Guldor declare war on me and I’m sandwiched. Perhaps I’m not playing the early game well enough? Ive tried to focus on building economy first and then expanding south and east. Any tips would be appreciated!

Am I crazy or does priority assets always feel like the worse one off?

Compared to my opponents it always feels like they have many more options to score, and they get more points. Just poster priority assets against reconnaissance and yikes is that a mismatch. Wrath of the rock is fun concept but always needing to reliably have action monkeys around to just score anything at all has been rough.

I’ve noticed a massive drop off in local players interested in 30K. Do people not enjoy 3rd edition?

I joined HH with the release of 3rd edition and have really enjoyed the game as I prefer the fluff over competitiveness from 40K. It’s become really hard to find games recently and wanted to know if people have lost interest or dislike this edition?

Going from competent 3 stack with comms to no comms randoms is jarring

I have a pretty consistent squad but I’ll run crew fill when our timelines don’t match up. The amount of people out here refusing to use pings or their headset (despite me hearing audio from them at start of match) is insane. Going from quality comms in team fights to hearing nothing and seeing no pings makes fights so unfun and difficult for no reason.
