I’ve consistently got ideas for stories in my head that play on repeat and sometimes flesh themselves out but I’ll never write them properly.

Those of you that use AI to help flesh out stories - how do you do it?

Do you just write a massive prompt and see what comes out or do you write like an actual shortened story and ask it to create a longer fic?

I’d like to try my hand at it as a way to eventually get in to writing properly.

I’ve gone through all that I can - I read obsessively.

Ive read every completed fic that I could stand (some of the plots are fantastic but the writing just isn’t there for me) so I thought I’d move to abandoned WIPS or Long term WIPS that are still updated regularly?

Any recs?

Can’t remember which rec someone planted for this author but I’ve just finished their catalogue of Tomarry - which I always go through when someone’s writing is excellent.

I’m so curious to know what music you might vibe to while reading (or not).

I’ve always hyper-fixed on certain albums/musicians and usually can’t let go for a good 3 months but whenever I do I generally always prescribe some type of work of fiction to it.

I’m stuck in a Tomarry phase while also being stuck in Evanescence, so I’ll just relate the two to whatever I’m reading until I’m ready to move on.

But now I’m curious as to what others do, and which music you may correlate with the ship?

Obviously based on whatever our love of Evanescence is?

I’m from New Zealand (and have ADHD) and whenever I get hyper focused on E it’s usually their self titled album, and now that I’m moving on from it a bit (read:actually able to listen to other music) I’m back to picking up Devilskin and now I’m wondering if anyone else gets a similar correlation (or would like to see if they do?)

Anyone know how to see what previous comments I might have left that offended - I’d like to figure out how and what to apologise for.

I think I’ve seen the users name before but they’ve got so many fics and I genuinely don’t know what I’ve done 😬

It just shows me that I can’t leave comments or Kudos since I’ve “been blocked by one or more creators of this work”

I’ve been a fan since the early 00s but have only just gotten back in to them this year.

This album is my favourite of theirs and I’m ecstatic that a band in 2026 is keeping with the same type of tunes/themes they’ve always had and not changing themselves significantly.
