I am from Punjab and started my job in Trivandrum back in 2013 and then I visited Varkala for the first time.
It was not very typically commercialised place back then.
Visited the place twice again in 2020 and 2021.
I have this very old dream of having a small home stay/bnb/cafe in Varkala from a long period of time.

Never had the time and money for the same and got involved in family and other responsibilities.

I am on sabbatical for few months and it feels like a calling for me to visit and start my small venture now.

Being a non Malyali, is it a good idea for me to think about investing there?
Especially not having visited the place since 5 years.

I have utmost respect for locals and Keralites and don’t want to offend anyone and would like to be very respectful for any possible future endeavours too.

Any kind of suggestions about how is the current scene and if it’s a good idea ?
Or even better any property lessors can connect ?

I’m sorry if I am asking a stupid question but I am not very technical in coffee making but I love having coffee daily.
One espresso and one cappuccino is my daily routine.
I have this machine where I make espresso daily.
I have a few friends who buy grounded coffee powder for me whenever they visit abroad or some NRI friends visit.

To be honest I am just a snob who does some high level research and start using whatever looks good on paper.

Can someone suggest what are good options available in Indian market for this ?

Also suggest if I should change my machine for getting the better coffee experience.
