I have an old one from July 2024 and thought I'd order a box of new ones as I love the eraser and also share them with family and friends when I travel to a country where these are not available. The 2026 box has erasers that are not as good quality.
The new one is not as firm and feels flimsy in the hand. Does anyone else have an opinion on this?
Was wondering what pencil everyone is using and what for?
I am using a Blackwing 10001 firm right now. I use pencils for work (research and some accounting) and write in smooth 90gsm cream paper notebooks. Looking forward to hearing from everyone. Pictures would be great too!

I have less than a box of these left. At the time I picked up two dozen. Who knew back then that this would end up being the perfect pencil for me. The extra-firm graphite on this edition is just perfect. As I sharpen this one today, I feel anxious over the feeling of 'what will I do when I don't have any more of these left'. This is silly I know as I have many more pencils to write with that I like as well. But somehow using up vs buying more is like an endless tug of war of emotions.
Do you have a pencil that you feel this way about? Is there the 'one' pencil for you that you hoard more of? Please share as it would be so interesting to know from fellow pencil lovers, users and collectors...what is your favourite pencil?

Am curious the difference in all of the F grade pencils. Just saw that Ruwe 555 has a grade 2 4/8th. So fascinating how these pencil companies graded their pencils. I also saw that Dixon Ticonderoga bought out Ruwe pencils in 1988 for 1 million dollars.
Does anyone in this group have a Ruwe 555 2 4/8th pencil? How does it write compared to the #2.5 Ticonderoga or any other F pencil? Just curious.

I'm looking for some Mongol F pencils as I have one (the version with just the F and no 2.5), and was wondering what this version is like. I always wondered which version in EF Mongol would be considered the best one to write with on regular composition paper.
