Help Me Come Up With Vanilla Alternatives

I have a project / thought experiment I am starting to work on that I thought people here might be interested in. This is not *strictly* a vegan concept, but for those who are here for environmental reasons or who want to be more in touch with where their food actually *comes* from, in particular might be interested in this idea. Yes, BlackForager is definitely one of my inspirations here.

Isn't it odd that "plain" flavor, vanilla, comes from a difficult to cultivate exotic flower? You make just about any dessert, and what does it call for? Vanilla. Yes, other flavors have been trendy, but most specifically for lattes, not for general dessert use. Making a neutral flavored dessert to use as a base for other flavors? Why not use nutmeg or cardamom instead of vanilla? Why not use a floral flavor like rose or lavender?

Even still the list of flavors I've actually tried is still extremely basic. I was recently reminded that fig leaf exists. I know there are all kinds of other flavors that can be foraged. If anyone has any creative, outside the box ideas (or more normal ideas, anything helps) I would love to hear others' thoughts.

A Scream to the Void About Centered Text

Honestly, not much more needs to be said than the title.

The final say on anything design related falls to a higher-up at my workplace who is not a designer. She absolutely *loves* centered text. I can't even count how many times she's said "I love most of this, but can you center the text".

We have this awkward, landscape-oriented, tabloid sized cover page that's just single column of content, you guessed it, *centered* on the page. Which is particularly dumb, because most people who get a printed copy of our work fold it in half for travel/storage. So it's not really that great of a design in the first place, but my higher-up wants to put a letter-sized checklist on the entire left hand side of the cover page. So we're taking a 'meh, it's not the best, but it gets the job done' design, and turning it into hot garbage.

To try to make this lopsided monstrosity look even slightly intentional, rather than like two unrelated cover pages fighting for dominance on a single cover sheet, I left aligned the previously centered content. Yes, it still looked like hot garbage, but it at least looked like *intentional* hot garbage. However, as you can probably guess, the higher-up at my work, took one look at it and said "I love everything here, but can you center everything on each half?" It already looked bad before everything was centered, but now it just looks so much worse.

I Want a Robot Vacuum on a Limited Budget

I am moving soon to an apartment that has carpet in the bedroom and am looking for something that does hard floors and carpet well. I also have 2 cats who like cardboard scratchers (which sheds like crazy).

Because most of my money right now is going to moving expenses, I'm thinking that I'd like to find a used robot vacuum on fb marketplace. What are some good models that I could find on markeplace in working condition?
