I read a random post here about grocery shopping and it got me thinking.

Do you folks have sections of merchandise locked up because those items are likely to be stolen?

In my relatively quiet corner of the US this is common.

Is that a thing in the UK? In Europe in general?

Like the title says. I am looking for something that dives deep into the history of the Alterans. I am just utterly fascinated by the idea that original humans evolved 10s of millions of years ago and had the tech for interstellar AND intergalactic travel before we even existed on Earth.

Unfortunately, neither Gateworld nor SGCommand really describe what is in each of the novels they list. So I am hoping that in one of the novels, even though the synopsis may not mention it, there is a thick section on Alteran life millions of years ago.

Disclaimer: I didnt look at EVERY SINGLE synopsis for all the books so yes I may have missed it.
