Is it weird to schedule bridal dress appointments for an elopement?

Hi! My fiancé and I have decided on the elopement route for less frills of a big crowd, more intimacy, and more focus financially to the honeymoon. We'll be getting married April 2027 and are still deciding if we want a city hall wedding or to go with an elopement package (which comes with an officiant, photography, venue etc).

Despite keeping it a simple ceremony between us two (plus the others mentioned above), I'd still like to experience the magic of the whole 'say yes to the dress', but I'm nervous to book an appointment because I feel like most brides who do these have the traditional big wedding/church wedding etc. and have their family/friends/bridal party with them. While I do have people in my life that I love, ultimately my fiancé and I have decided we'd have zero guests, and basically if I booked a dress appointment..I'd be going alone.

Has anyone still gone through with a dress appointment despite eloping and what were your experiences? Was it worth it? Did they still give you the bridal treatment?

Hotel recommendations for getting ready/photography before city hall wedding?

Hello! My fiancé and I are aiming to elope around mid April next year at city hall and are looking for a nearby hotel to stay at. Although it'll just be the 2 of us, we'd still like to have photography for the getting ready/first look before the wedding and would love any recommendations for a venue to stay at!

anybody going to xcaret arte next week?

my siblings and i booked a trip a long while ago and we're leaving this upcoming monday, however looking at the weather, i'm worried the trip won't be worth it since the whole week will be raining.

Madoka no Mori or Gora Hanaougi?

Me and my fiance will be staying in Hakone for 2 nights in November and I was wondering which ryokan would be better? Both have private onsens, which is a plus for us, and I read both places were affiliated. Has anyone been to both or either and which would you recommend better? Another main thought we have is getting around (sightseeing the Hakone Loop). I know both are in similar vicinities but Hanaougi is connected to the cable cars, not sure if it's necessary or if it isn't too hard getting around.

Is a ryokan near Gora Station or Hakone Yumoto better?

Hi! My husband and I will be traveling from Osaka to Tokyo and between will be staying in Hakone for 3 days 2 nights. The plan would be to rest at the ryokan on arrival day, do the Hakone loop/possibly explore town on the 2nd day, and head to Tokyo on the 3rd.

Would Gora Station or Hakone Yumoto be better? I've read that Gora Station is farther travel, but it would be near attractions for the loop, and there are nicer ryokans around. I was looking into Gora Hanaougi or Madoka no Mori

Hakone Yumoto would be faster/easier getting to and leaving to Tokyo, however since we're planning on doing the loop, we'd be going up to Gora either way. I was thinking of staying at Aura Tachibana for here. Would love to hear reviews/thoughts!

3 days in tokyo recommendation?

Hi! Me and my husband will be staying in Tokyo for 3ish days in Oshiage near Skytree. We'll be arriving into Tokyo early afternoon from Hakone on a Wednesday and leaving Sunday late evening, giving us 3 full days to explore Tokyo. This'll be my 2nd time in Tokyo and although I visited almost everything I wanted to see last time, I definitely didn't organize which areas I went to (causing longer travel back and forth on the train 😅).

It'll be my husband's 1st time and his main interest is going to Nakano Broadway and Ginza (for watch shopping), eating, and I wanted to take him to Betty Smith for the jean making workshop (he's also really into denim). Last visit, I went to Toyosu Market and would love to take him there. Since we'll be staying in Oshiage, I figured on our arrival day I could book Skytree during sunset and somewhere in between we either explore Asakusa or the mall by Skytree (he loves window shopping and I had fun exploring the mall last time too).

Any recommendations on how to efficiently plan Nakano Broadway, Ginza, and Toyosu market for the 3ish days, and what are other good areas to explore around/nearby? Interest-wise, we're both into food, shopping (denim/leather/watches), anime.

recommendations for 1st time onsen in hakone?

me and my husband will be staying in japan in november for 2 weeks (staying osaka for the 1st week, then traveling to tokyo for the 2nd week). i'd like to squeeze hakone in during the osaka to tokyo travel, maybe for 3 days 2 nights (2 days focusing on travel, 1 full day for exploring the hakone loop). we'd prefer a private onsen, and somewhere near the train stations/hakone loop (i read it's common to start at hakone yumoto station). i'm willing to splurge a little bit seeing that ryokans/onsen prices are on the luxury side, but overall i'd like a good balance of easy to navigate to and still enjoying the onsen/ryokan experience.
