Reddit doesn’t appear to want to deal with the bots or the Nazis. Instead they start a lot of “I’m X and I’m thinking about Y. What do you people think?” posts to drown out the threads about the state of Reddit moderation.
I designed and carried out this study into what people think and imagine while responding to suggestions. I used a technique called micro-phenomenological interviews that attempt to capture in detail very short experiences for comparison. All the materials are openly available and linked from the paper, which too is completely open-access (because my university paid)!
