New homeowner who inherited solar panels

I recently purchased a home in Illinois (comed). the solar panel was installed in 2023 and is fully paid off. I got my first bill - and realize that I needed to do some things to connect the solar to the grid (I had no idea of this).

I just want to make sure I do it right! I know some rules changed and am trying to figure it all out.

unfortunately the company that installed the panels is out of business (sun power).

is the best thing to do to start with comed and ask them what I need to do?

Which one would you choose on sale? Ariens Classic 24inch or Cub Cadet 2x 26inch with Intellipower in the Midwest?

The Ariens is $500 while the Cub Cadet is $600.

I know the Ariens is known for it's reliability, but i am wondering if the extra power and the assistance of turning the snowblower is worth it for a $100 more?

How to reconcile a sold house?

Hi all,

I have been using the Loans feature in YNAB tied to my mortgage payment. We sold our house and purchased a new one. How do I handle this in YNAB?

Do i just close out the mortgage account and start a new one? Do i first adjust the balance down to 0?

I also have an inflow from the sale of the house. How do i handle that inflow? I know it goes in to be assigned but do i link it back to the mortgage or something else?

Appreciate your help as i've never had anything like this before.

Is Tmobile still allowing you to keep 5g home internet for free if you have it first before getting tfiber?

I am moving and both places have tfiber.

I remember when i first got tfiber, i was reading about how if you had the 5g internet first, and later got tfiber, they let you keep the 5g internet for free as a backup.

i am wondering if i should do that this time - get the 5g internet first for a month or two and then do the install for tfiber. does anyone know if they still let you keep it for free?

Ants coming in through the drilled fiber line

Hey all,

I had tfiber put in the winter and at the start of this spring, we started seeing a lot of ants in our house (something we haven't seen before). I put this liquid ant traps all over, and the only one that caught anything was the one by the area they drilled a hole into for the fiber line. there was a ton caught in the trap.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is it safe for me to take off the cover plate and see what might be going on? I know the tech had told me the wire was very fragile and be careful, so nervous to touch it or mess anything up.

Thank you!
