I want to build my own paludarium. But I only have aquarium knowledge.

I’ve been watching a lot of videos of people building super cool paludariums.
I myself would love to build one to put in my bedroom.
I would love to have houseplants sticking out the top along with all of the other life and creatures in the water and above.
Where would I start.
How big of a tank should I get? Should I get one with doors that open? Like a reptile tank
What materials would I need to build say a waterfall paludarium.
I ultimately would love recommendations for plants I could put of top to hang out maybe vine plants or others that can be planted in the top bit of the tank.
How expensive of a process am I looking to dig into?
Any general information is appreciated!
And maybe I’ll end up posting updates with a paludarium I have built in the future.

Help, hydra?

I have this 5 gallon to grow out plants in only life in it is these ramshorn and mystery snails.
What are these? They look like aptasia but it’s fresh water. Google is saying hydra!
Would like general knowledge on them how did they get in my tank why are they in here?
Everything is testing good
I do not have a heater in this tank.
Are these hydra gonna kill off my snail army?
If not do I feed them or anything they look cool!
In the video the lil thing grabs on to my snail n it don’t look comfortable

Springtails?

I have a chunk of wood that peaks out the top of my tank about weekly once the water evaporates enough.
This week I noticed little bugs crawling around on it!
Did a bit of research and they’re spring tails?

Any benefits to having them? Is it something I need to actively work on getting rid of?
Overall my research seems like they’re okay. And maybe an extra snack for my fish?

I just bought this off of Facebook marketplace. Definitely an impulse buy. It’s been sitting outside in the elements the previous owner said.
It was a petsmart display tank.
I’m trying to do research but can’t find much about it any help?
Is it even worth restoring or is it just trash?
It’s super big way too big to fit into any door of my house!
6 sided tank with 6 individual tanks that cascade waterfall into the next. And the lowest one drains to the sump? And then gets pumped back to the top I believe?
Who made these? I looked up MaRs and can’t find anything details on this tank.
Any general information would help thank you!
