Fan Operation Volunteers from LA, how has the experience been? Have you been invited to watch the games too?
Would like to hear other host cities aswell in this role !
People will probably be upset with what I’m about to write so hopefully I can make myself clear and not sound salty.
When we first had our invitations to know all about the program they all explicitly said that NO ONE would be able to see the games, and then from research you could notice Hospitality, Media Ops, Guest Ops and probably Ceremonies could join in to do so. It was made very clear that joining the volunteer program wasn’t made to watch the games nor meet players. I withdrew from my role because the expenses were higher than my budget so I couldnt commit anymore but Í was “calm” to know that I wouldnt miss out on potentially getting a freebie to see a few minutes, I was Fan Operations.
But seeing now, EXCLUDING DALLAS VOLUNTEERS because we know FIFA did invite them to see the game, other volunteers have gotten to actually see the game NOT DOING ANYTHING like in LA rn and other host cities when they had explicitly said repeatedly that there was a 0.01% chance to do so. And I’m talking about roles like Competition Management and other roles that are just chilling watching.
It would’ve been nice to see the same outcome to other ones who have been dying under the sun actually doing a lot or keep the odds the same for everyone who isnt a pitchside role. I hope I made myself clear without sounding salty but IMO it’s not fair to see others having that opportunity when others are probably just in the volunteer tents.
I’m an LA Volunteer, do we pickup the accreditation pass on the same day and area of uniform pickup? Or where do we pick it up, would love to hear from other cities aswell!

Ever since I started playing a lot this year I’ve found myself looking at the weekly rotation every Thursday afternoon seeing a completely different list of songs. However, today I have seen almost the same songs since last week, anyone know why?
