Got a brand new Excalibur and I want a sniper barrel. What should I get?

I got my Excalibur hardware kit from Out of Darts about two weeks ago, and it came with a 0.527 x 12in Aluminum Barrel. I absolutely love it, and with the k25 spring I can reliably hit targets at some pretty impressive distances, but I want the ability to reach out and touch someone just a little bit further away.

I was looking on OOD's website and saw that they had a .509 18in long Caliburn/Lynx barrel and a 0.527 x 22.5in - Extra Long barrel, both for a few dollars each. I'm thinking I want one of these, but want to know if one of them may be better than another. Also, I might end up getting both just because the price is awesome.

Also, on Sillybutt's guide to building the excalibur, he gave two options for chamber diameter, 12.9mm and 13.4mm. 12.9 is almost exactly .509 inches, and he said to use the 12.9mm chamber if you were only planning to use half length darts. I'm assuming that if a chamber of that diameter should only be used for half-lengths, an entire barrel would be the same way. I probably have thousands of full-lengths (mostly nerf elites and adventure force nitroshots), and don't want to switch to half-lengths, at least for now.

Is there something better/more reliable i should purchase instead, or is one of these the way to go? What are your thoughts?

Anybody know some nerf groups in Alaska?

I know this is a long shot (not the blaster), but I've been trying to find nerf events/groups/ companies in Alaska (specifically the Anchorage/Palmer/Wasilla area) for a little while now. Unfortunately, I've only found The Dart Ground, which looks somewhat small and geared towards small kids. If anyone knows about some nerf groups near Anchorage, I'd love to hear about them!

Caliburn 4 vs Excalibur

This is the first kit I've ever bought, and I'm looking for some advice and people's personal experience. I've narrowed it down to the Caliburn 4 and the Excalibur hardware kit because they both take long darts and short darts. (I have a lot of long darts and I don't want to buy a bunch or short darts.) I've heard that the Caliburn is great, and that the Excalibur is like a mix of the Caliburn and the Cynthia. What are your thoughts?

How do I make a water element make sense?

So I've designed this magic system where every mage has an affinity to an element (big surprise), but I'm still trying to figure out how to make it make a little bit of sense sense physics-wise. Let me explain: in my world, Fire mages can produce a small amount of a substance (called phlogiston or plasma or whatever floats your boat) which immediately burns, creating fire, and fire mages can control the resulting flames. Ice mages can reduce the vibrations of atoms, cooling things down to extremely low temperatures. Lightning mages can manipulate electrons, creating electric charges. I have also light and life elements (which are related to photons and living cells). So each element is related to something specific: Fire to heat and flame, lce to coldness, Lightning to electrons, Light to photons, and Life to living cells. But then there's water. The water element is obviously related to water, but what makes H2O special? Like why isn't it ammonia or mercury or hydrochloric acid? We need water to live, but magic doesn't care what humans need. How do I make a water element make sense? In other words, how do I justify having it it besides saying that we die without it?
