Can I walk into emergency department?

Hi.

Ive been battling sudden onset depression and anxiety & also have had some huge memory loss issues and cognitive decline as a result.

Ive been to a GP, and psychiatric who have given me a bunch of medication to take for schizophrenia and depression.

But they want a test to make sure my brain is ok. Im trying to get a booking through private and public for a Neurologist but my symptoms have gotten really bad where I forget things and have spasms.

I'm downplaying the severity of it but I know I'm a risk to my self and others.

Will ED see me? What will they do/need.

Thank you

People of auckland. What is the meaning of life?

As i stay awake. 1am on a friday morning. Drinking sleeping tea to help me sleep before work tomorrow at 9am.

I ask my self. What am I doing with life. We are all basically spinning on a rock in space, mean while I'm worried about a PowerPoint presentation and excel.

People born, people die. The sun and moon rises. The ones we bring into this world are the ones we bury or bury us. Makes you really think. What are we all here to do.

Made me dissasociate and not think about rent, bills, $15 block of cheese & be more present and greatful that I'm breathing to experience the struggle of life. One day it wont matter.

Anyways. Any one know the answer? Meaning of life. Atleast to you.

What would you do to make you happy? Auckland edition

Hey folks. Hope everyone is well and enjoying the nice sunny weather in auckland.

There was a famous post in the other subreddit. Basically they had seen many people in the city sad. Each one had a different story. Some had money problems, some had health, some had relationship or education.

I guess what I'm asking, what would need to happen for you to be happy/more happy ( if you arent).

Is it money, possibly getting out of auckland? Or spending more time enjoying life and less time working. Helps share some idea around.

Format:

Age: late 20s

The what: finding a purpose in life, a meaningful impact with career and creating stronger and better relationships ( fixing) amongst all my existing ones and also trying to enjoy auckland more.

My $RKLB story - PLOT TWIST

Happy weekend folks. Some of you guys might know me. For others. Lemme tell you the story.

I sometimes make good investments.

Many years ago I purchased full port into rocketlab. I was confident. I knew the company and I was experienced in understanding finance.

I held. For a while..then nothing changed and I sold....right before it flew up.

Anyways. I had a total of I think 29,000 shares. I sold some for $0.05 a share profit and others for more. All in all. I made $2000. I just missed out on.... someone do the math.

This is a lesson to have conviction in good stocks. Good fundamentals are the key.

Happy weekend everyone. Laugh at my expense 🤣🤣🤣.

Now I'll get ready to go to work on a Monday when I could have been retired.

Looks to be the best IPO of the year.

Wanted to get in on private placement last year but missed out.

Hopefully tiger brokers & sharesies have this going live tonight.

Bored in Auckland - What can I do? What do YOU do for fun?

Hi everyone,

Have a bit of unexpected leave from work that I got so as a result I'm basically free right now in Auckland.

I'm basically driving around to coffee spots right now looking for things to do as I don't really have anything else and looking for hobbies. I've generally had work to keep my VERY busy.

I have a budget of few hundred a day to spend.

So far the Meetup Apps don't have to much. I'm doing some workout classes in-between and will be trying some yoga/meditation stuff in the city/the loft side as well.

I'm trying to stay busy to beat my depression and also live life a bit before i hit 30. Any ideas?

also, i've lived in akl my life lol. So have done the basic touristy stuff. Just wanting to see if there is anymore to this city at this point.

How do you battle sunday scaries/ extetensial crisis in winter

Hi everyone.

Just curious. Does anyone get the sunday depression or down mood ahead of the week.

Ive been having a huge extentsial crisis and questioning everything including my own happiness right now. I am taking medication for anxiety and depression. Just curious how everyone manages it- especially this time of the year, if you do experience it.

For me, Ive found i need to be more connected. I need more people around me. A deeper connection and more social community of any sort so will be exploring this. I only have 4 family in nz and nothing really else tbh. So while I'm ok being alone, I dont like it.

Good luck for the rest of the week.

Hi.

I have some time of and some money to spend and want to volunteer over the next few weeks/month.

Not sure where to go or what to do. Where can I find social settings of volunteering.

I would like to go to a kids ward/starship and possibly dress up like an dinosaur/animal 🦕 and give out toys/gifts if its allowed.

I have SPCA covered aswell.

Any other ideas? On volunteering or social activities goijg on in auckland?

Thank you,

That time of the week.

How is everyone doing? Ive been given some medication to battle severe depression and anxiety and fix things before I self sabotage myself and my life.

Ive also learned how hard it is to get psychiatric appointment in auckland.

How are you guys doing? Share something if you aren't doing ok or share if you are. Lets help each other.

Hi,

Sorry another post.

Ive seen many post about this city feeling like a lonely city. I dont think I understood what it meant till recently.

If you dont have any family here & making good friends is hard enough as it is, how do people manage that aspect of life?

Is it work, hobby then come to an empty house. If you have no parents, siblings, friends. I cant imagine how negative of an impact this could have on someone.

If you have experienced this or just loneliness in general please share - keen to know what you are experiencing & how you cope.

Thank you.

Hi folks,

I've been doing a bit of reading on the loneliness epidemic and see it's become a huge problem. In Auckland, isolation and loneliness is causing a huge spike in depression from the medical people i've heard/spoken to. It is sad that we have young people suffering and losing there life from this and I'm just trying to figure out a way to help people in general. But it seems like a HUGE problem that I can't seem to fix.

Aside from Romantic partners, it's getting VERY hard to make good quality friends.

Have you experienced this? or have you heard/seen any trends around this.

thank you

Hey folks - long time holder and trader in $AMZN with a few thousand position.

Recently doing some DD ahead of earnings and was wondering if any model/analyst report has factored in the cost of oil into the retail arm of the business?

it could have some negative consequences to the margins ( that are already slim) compared to the tech/ai/ads.

AI wise - i know AWS will do good but will the 'good' offset the 'bad' from the retail arms.
