This is a default PS5 controller on PS5.

This newest update is actually great but it should’ve been like this from the start. The only downside is it’s created a massive skill imbalance, especially in solo queue. I’m getting Crim teammates going quad-negative running 50-round drums, random red dots, and Dravics. I’m thinking it’s going to take a month or so for the ranks to settle and people to end up where they actually belong.

On the positive side, I’m finally getting my local SoCal servers way more often. I’m sitting at 1–2 ping on those, which is amazing. Before this I was getting Chicago like 95% of the time and stuck at 55+ ping. (Anyone else getting Chicago server constantly?)

I’ve also noticed almost no blatant AI aimbotters in my lobbies anymore. I have a 2.0+ KD solo queue this season (1.8–1.9 the previous ones) and used to run into at least one AI every 3 games, sometimes every other lobby. Now the few I do see are just soft-aiming. I even messaged one and the guy replied “I’m not even raging but ggs.” These cheaters are living in a complete fantasy land.

I’m actually having a good time playing ranked for the first time since MW3. I really hope they go super aggressive with the hardware bans because this cheating is killing my passion.
