Red Bull need to fix the car - if not for performance then just for safety!!

That’s two race weekends in a row now with active aero issues. When are the team going to wake the fuck up and make some fixes??

He always says night 2 is better but it will be when his energy for N1 is so much worse.

Just the title really. It’s a common theme that his night 1 energy is much more lacking than the following nights. When we’re all paying the same money, I don’t think it’s unfair to expect a show of the same quality.

People will say it’s complaining, but when multiple people are saying the same thing, there’s clearly a broader issue than just a couple unhappy fans

My Honest Review from someone who went to Manchester 2023 and now 2026

So back home and just been thinking about the show. Compared to 2023, it was quite a disappointment.

Firstly, opening with Baptized in Fear / Open Hearts is not it. Especially when they go into Wake Me Up which is literally and album opener and it could be a great show opener. It just felt that BIF and Open Hearts were rushed out the way by how short it was.

One of my main gripes was not only had the set list been shortened, but SO MANY songs were shortened versions. Some were literally a verse and chorus and that’s it.

Next, the energy from the crowd was way different than 2023, and I think that has to do with Playboi Carti. After he did his support set, loads of people just left and then the ones that did come back were just mingling at the back talking. It was a pretty strange atmosphere. Sure the crowd cheered after every song and when he smiled, but hardly anyone knew any songs.

That leads onto my next point that this is still called After Hours til Dawn. I think that really needed changing to accommodate HUT. As well as the poor marketing the album got, having no form of at least advertising the new album with the tour hasn’t done well. And you can tell again in the fact that it seemed most didn’t know any of the HUT songs.

As said, the set list was so cut back, which seems to be a recurring theme with opening nights. And frankly it’s not fair. I know people will just say, “stop crying at least you got to go,” and yes it’s great that I did, but if I am paying the same price as someone who’ll be going on the second night, I expect a show of the same quality and standard. Night 1 shouldn’t just be a ‘taster’ every single time, especially when the fans say the same thing every time.

The overall set and lights of the show seemed really reduced compared to 2023. There was more fire, which is cool I guess. But I remember Less Than Zero having such an amazing light show in 2023, and this year it was so lacklustre. I don’t understand why this would even be changed, especially when the majority of the songs have remained the same.

The same can be said for the mask and outfit, which has remained unchanged. It’s just a boring black suit and mask now, in comparison to the nice silver MF Doom mask from before. The fact that the HUT robe has been completely ditched just shows how much he’s given up on this ‘trilogy’ story.

Anyway, rant over. I’m sure that night 2 will probably get Kiss Land, The Morning, and perhaps other songs.

Question for anyone who has read both The Last Contract of Isako and The Green Bone Saga by Fonda Lee

Perhaps this is too early to ask with TLCOI only coming out officially 5 days ago, but to anyone that has read it, I have a question.

Is the writing pretty similar to The Green Bone Saga. I have that trilogy on my TBR and was really excited for it, but TLCOI has slightly put me off. The writing style of Lee’s latest book was probably my least favourite part of the book. I’m not offended by them or find it to be grotesque language, but I especially disliked the random f-bombs, because they just felt so out of place, especially when the main character is a 50 year old woman, but she’s sometimes speaking like a teen.

Anyway, yes the main reason for my post is to ask anyone who’s read both this standalone and her trilogy and be able to find out whether the writing styles are fairly similar? Thanks!
