Valorant says TPM 2.0 is missing, but Device Manager shows TPM 2.0 (2019 MacBook Pro Boot Camp)
Hi everyone,
I'm using a 2019 Intel MacBook Pro (MacBookPro16,1) running Windows 10 Pro 22H2 through Boot Camp.
A few days ago, I was playing Valorant normally. In the middle of playing, I suddenly got kicked out of the game and started receiving the VAN: RESTRICTION error saying my system doesn't meet the required security requirements, specifically TPM 2.0.
I never changed any BIOS settings or hardware. The issue just appeared out of nowhere while I was playing.
Since then I've tried almost everything:
- Reinstalled Windows 10.
- Reinstalled Boot Camp drivers.
- Reinstalled Riot Vanguard.
- Enabled UEFI.
- Enabled Secure Boot.
- Updated Windows completely.
My current system configuration is:
- Windows 10 Pro 22H2
- BIOS Mode: UEFI
- Secure Boot: ON
The confusing part is the TPM.
In Device Manager, I can see:
Trusted Platform Module 2.0
and Windows says:
"This device is working properly."
But when I open tpm.msc, I get:
"Compatible TPM cannot be found."
And PowerShell returns:
Get-Tpm
Output:
TpmPresent : False
TpmReady : False
TpmEnabled : False
So Device Manager says TPM 2.0 exists, but Windows itself says there is no compatible TPM, which causes Valorant/Vanguard to fail the security check.
I'm trying to figure out:
- Has anyone with an Intel MacBook Pro running Boot Camp managed to get TPM working correctly?
- Has anyone recently started getting the same Valorant TPM issue even though the game worked before?
- Is this a Boot Camp limitation, a Windows issue, or something Riot changed in Vanguard?
If anyone has experienced this or found a solution, I'd really appreciate any advice. At this point, I'm trying to determine whether this is something that can actually be fixed or if Boot Camp simply no longer satisfies Valorant's TPM requirement.
Thanks!
