OG's - Who can find this?

About 2 months ago, someone posted a 3d printable thing that inserts into the driver's side seatbelt clasp. I cannot find the post. If anyone can recall or saved the link to the file, thank you in advance.

EDIT - For future search: Seatbelt alarm silencer

How to add a header script

I have a ProStandard account and can add my inline newsletter signup via the embed option. But my newsletter provider also requires I put a javascript code snip in the header of the website. I cannot find where to access that. So, obv, the form doesn't exist until I do. Searched Help but can't find an answer on this one. Thanks.

VW Disables App Connection in North America

For those of you using the ID Buzz Monitor app:

https://id-buzz-monitor.com/

They did it in Europe a while ago, now they've done it in NA. This is really crappy as the VW app itself is very lacking.

The Buzz Monitor crew is working on a hardware solution. But my heart breaks for all the effort that has gone into giving us a better user experience. And poof, they take it away.

"On 1st June, Volkswagen blocked the APIs that had been used since 2023 by VW enthusiasts in Europe to build apps and monitoring that enhanced the user experience of their vehicles and filled gaps in what the manufacturer provided. For years there was no attempt by VW to block these or to take any action against the user community that shared open-source code so owners could control and access data for their own cars.
On 30th July, VW implemented the same block for the North American market, which is served by a different backend (built through their joint venture with Rivian)."

UPDATE: late on 30 July, I and others here have an app update that seems to be working. 🤞

Bumper Topper Experience

I am getting one because too easy to damage the back area loading and unloading.
I have found Weathertech (c $50) and Terrawagon ($105)

Both made in USA; both 46” wide; both say carwash-safe.

Please bring on your opinions and hopefully some direct experience! Thanks.

PS If anyone wants to weigh on the side rail protectors, please do!

EDIT: here is the VW Bumperdillo, coming in at MSRP $132. Are your dealers selling it at full price?

Looking for expert blonde colorist and short hair stylist

Been striking out. I want someone who can look at a photo (of me!) and replicate the cut and color. Seems doable but you would (not) be surprised at the messes I've gotten. Thanks!

App Issues - New Buzz Owner

Just crossing the two month milestone and my app is so erratic. It goes many days without updating, which cascades into issues with my IdBuzzMonitor app not working. I thought i received 3 months ‘free wifi’ from tmobile, but have never been able to set that up. Tried connecting it to my phone’s Verizon account (“sending a text to verify your account”) but nothing ever happened. Was on the phone with support and there is no green light on the top ‘dashboard’ between the seats (by the interior lights) and when I clicked the “i” button it disconnected my phone and was unable to make a connection. My phone does connect with CarPlay. This just seems like a mess of tech that is stepping on itself and ‘no one’s in charge.’

If any of you have suggestions, please share. Do I need a cellular account for the car? In addition to just using my phone? I mean, I don’t want to pay more to Verizon. I’ve got some FOMO going on here only it seems essential to managing my Buzz. Thanks.

12V Dumdum Questions

I had a previous ICE van with a 12v port. I could of course use it while parked, for some power. And then, I could plug my Jackery portable battery into the 12v port _ while driving _ to recharge the Jackery. Will this work on the Buzz? I have no idea how the electrics work in these things. Will it be charging the Jackery while draining the main Buzz battery? If so, seems kind of self-defeating. Or, can it charge while driving in some other magical way? Thanks!

Will Subpanel Work?

I have a new ID.Buzz. Keeps blowing the circuit in my garage (20A) tho nothing else is on. First 2 pics are the main panel; only a few years old and upgraded for my whole house solar and all electric home. Planned enough for the eventual car. Third pic is the subpanel in the garage. It was upgraded too for minisplits.

Q will i be able to use a Euphoria Pro with a mod ti the subpanel without running a line to main panel, which is 50' away?
