Pioneer SX-780 (supposedly recent BNIB) would you still worry about STK-0050?

So I'm looking around and I see there is this cosmetically perfect looking SX-780 that the seller says it was sold to him as "BNIB when I bought it and has been used rarely since ." Priced $700. It looks cosmetically perfect all around and he has the box and foam pack that it came in. The box is rough looking. The speaker spring terminals look new, no sign of wear on the back panel etc etc.

For the sake of argument lets say it really was a BNIB. Are the Darlington packs still problematic if not used? I've read that their wear is thermal so...

Thank you for your thoughts and advice.

Finally got a Marantz 2270, and got promptly deflated by my other half 😀

Finally got a Marantz. Took it out of the box and was checking it out while she was on the phone with her mom. “…he’s unboxing something music related…it looks just like every other music thing.”

Sigh

Back in the box it went to take to the local tech to make sure it’s ok before putting it to use.

Edit: my enthusiasm was deflated, added based on some comments below :)

Realistic STA-2080

Wanted to get back into music that is not in my ears. Picked this up a few days ago. My first, and possibly my last, vintage receiver. I'm quite happy with it. It's not the big boy like the STA-2100, but at 80W it's enough. The tactile feel and the looks are wicked awesome. Paired with an old pair of B&W P6 that I've had in the basement dormant for 10 years.

Next I need to find a CD player to start re-using my CD library. Or maybe even a tape deck for the stack of cassettes a dear friend just gave me.

Error 2402

Has anybody tackled this? If so any advice? DMTL pump, it happened after I jacked up the car to remove rear passenger wheel which makes me think wiring not the pump but I'll probably replace the pump too.

Need replacement wheel help

The tire shop used grinders to take weights off the wheels on my 135is. MY car is stock and wheels are Style 313 18x8.5et52, and 18x7.5et49. They were going to replace the wheel, but it's not longer made. So their insurance may buy a new set of OEM size so that they don't have to replace the brand new tires. It's been a bear finding those offsets in those sizes. Any suggestions for these sizes?
