Just googled something, one of the very first results was home depot (your city) so I drive there. Huh, can't find it. I bring it up on the website, says it's unavailable in stores...but you can order it and pick it up next week. Tried googling the item again, sure enough Google says it's at HD in my city. I'm sorry but that's complete garbage, right up there with Walmart letting you order stuff for in store pickup in 2 hours and then sending you an email 1:59 later when you're just arriving saying "psyche it's not actually there, your order is canceled, sucker."

I need to get a different job, but it's almost impossible to even hold a significant phone call with a recruiter right now, much less go through the ridiculous interview process. Cold quitting seems like a path toward financial ruin. Anybody ever put in 2 week notice and then used a temp job to float into another job?
